Doubt we will go for him. His dad wants a few on top of the agent earning fee. Supposedly his dad is pissing every Italian club off who have tried to sign him.

His father is his agent, so his commission will be limited to the max allowed by the FIFA cap.
Family members are no longer allowed payments from transfers under FIFA rules, unless they're a licensed agent. And even then the FIFA agent commission cap will dictate how much they can demand.

Seems to be the case per Twatter, lots of comments about his dad/agent. Looks like a great talent, wonder if we can get thru the dad agent with a decent offer. I can't imagine Juve can match us if we step in for him with a serious offer and the temptation to lead to 'bigger' PL clubs.

Great. So they will work out some way that Dad gets a healthy wedge another way. This is not going to happen.
Having done a bit of Google-Digging, the transfer to Inter seems to have collapsed for a number of reasons. The father has a different story. The super agent (pictured below) agreed the deal with Inter and Udinese without the consent of the player or his Dad (allegedly). It seems she was feeding Fab the whole convoluted story but without the necessary permissions.

So we didn't sign Locadia, Ulloa or Knockaert in Jan. Or Estupinan, Joao Pedro, Veltman, Welbeck, Milner or Lallana or many others who were premier league ready. I'm pretty sure we've had many dealings with "dodgy"/awkward agents in the past too. All it really comes down to is whether we see value in the signing, the team want to sell and whether the player wants to come. Things none of us know without working for the clubs recruitment team

Er... we do all of those things if the deal is right. We usually sign young players in January (Mac Allister, Buonanotte), we've signed plenty of PL-ready players (Pedro, Gilmour, Veltman etc) and we do deal with dodgy agents (Caicedo). We also have done loans (Colwill), which were perceived to be a no-no.
It's all about whether the deal is right for all parties. Never rule out anything
