Remarkably painless journey home. Elizabeth line to Farringdon, thus gaining a seat on the Thameslink service, unlike almost anybody who got on at London Bridge, and got on a delayed earlier train which sailed back to Sussex with barely a red signal in sight. Lovely stuff.

No problem with the rule, certainly down to more than a few twats hording pounts and not interested in going to games. Well done to the club in bringing in the rules, it has certainly opened up the games to genuine supporters.
The moronic letter of the law implementation with zero consideration is the fault of the club though.
In situations like last night when even travelling withon London was problematic flexibility to the implementation could, and should, have been applied. These weren't clever Trevors, they were genuine fans attempting to get to the game.
Lack of care, empathy and intelligence. Really poor.
I completely disagree. I didn’t get my points for Villa when a train strike was called with coaches already sold out and I didn’t expect to.
Rules are rules and no doubt you expect consistency from refs in games.
"hording pounts" sounds like a Canadian/South African asking for extra curry at a take away.

Nor would I expect that. Other opportunities to plan travel. I made that game without much issue with the advanced notice. Last night was totally different, mid journey chaos.
Some sympathies but loyalty points are a reward for attending games - so a blanket policy of no points for non attendance regardless of circumstance is fair to everyone.
We saw 2 blokes decide to bin the game off at East Croydon at 5.45 as they thought they wouldn’t get home to Sussex - despite trains pretty decent because of all the late running trains

Yep. We got the 4.28 from Brighton because my mate was working in town till 4. My son is back to college today and I’m back to work, so we had to get back. Made the train back that ended up leaving Farringdon about 10.10 and was only eight carriages.
We knew it would be a push when we were looking at realtime trains before we left, but we also knew we wouldn’t get our points if we binned it off.
Feel very sorry for anyone who had their train stop mid journey, especially the bloke on here who left with plenty of time and got stuck by the fallen tree, but for @Horses Arse to turn it into yet another anti-club rant smacks of an agenda.

If anyone is searching for someone to blame for last night's travel hell we all know the real culprit. TV. Absolutely no reason that game couldn't have been on an actual bank holiday when we'd have had all the time in the world to get too and from (assuming all the train lads didn't strike or down tools)
I appreciate they get to call the shots for their 100 million or so they will put in our coffers but you do wonder how much more fans will be inconvenienced to cater for the armchair fan.West Ham at 15.00 on a Saturday is great. Pint in Hackney Wick before and after to let the crowds go and meander home at your own pace. Midweek evening on a work night take all the fun out of it.

Thankfully I've been able to form opinions based on what is right in front of me. It's stood me well so I'll carry on thanks. If you are unable to have a discussion without descending into little digs then thats your problem to resolve. I'll let you flounce away if you don't mind.
The club get a lot right, they also get things wrong occassionally. Calling them out when they get things wrong (normally concerning treatment of supporters) is not an anti club rant or agenda. It is what saved this club originally.
These are just on the first two pages of your posts list and I found them in three minutes.

Administratively it is the easiest thing though, and it applies to everyone. It may not seem it, but it is fair. Also we all know the score when we buy the tickets. it really isn't worth getting upset about.
