His performances have been impressive when he's had a shot in recent games. Far more effective than I'd anticipated. I think given a full pre season with RDZ, he'll be excellent next season.

Not that I think it’s a direct correlation, but I’d hazard a guess that with Gilmour starting is our highest win rate percentage.

That's a really interesting read.
Also highlights some of the off field benefits we're going to lose when Ally Mac leaves, even if Gilmour is able to step into his on field shoes.

Think Gilmour's passing is excellent hope RDZ starts to realise you need more than plan A when dealing with the he different styles of play.
RDZ relayed the story of Enciso's fisticuffs at a supporters club thing in November. He wouldn't let us know who the player was that Enciso got in a tiff with but said he was a "senior member of the team". Surprising to hear it was actually Billy - we were all convinced it was Lallana
Think there are big things on the horizon (next season) for our Billy.

there is no doubt Gilmour has played himself back into RDZ plans, he will get plenty of game time next season

All about opinions .... but you don't need to be a footballing genius to understand that when your style is compromised by the opposition then changing the style MIGHT help e.g. Newcastle, Forest, Villa all stopped us playing plan A football and we found it hard to counter them.
Don't get me wrong its a great style that's got great results but that's generally against teams that have been open either the top teams or really poor teams (wolves, southampton ).
The comment though was really a question about how RDZ seemed to ignore Gilmour for most of the season yet when he has played he has looked very good and his passing has been excellent yet strangely was not picked to play in a team playing passing football.

Agree, but I’d suggest that RDZ not realising something isn’t the case. There is a sub level of detail that RDZ is working to that is difficult to appreciate. Undoubtedly he will want to improve those results, but there were other teams that defended deep like Palace, West Ham, Chelsea that we get over the line.
Not sure our style or tactics were the issue either, available personnel, fatigue, emotion (post pens) were all factors - not whether we needed to change our approach.
As said before my opinion is Gilmour is falling into a sub layer of detail that is keeping him out of the team more than he would like. For us seems to be doing many things well, but don’t think that’s enough for this coach yet.
Agree. Could be around his apparent lack of fitness, often seemed to be subbed off early 60-70 mins. But who knows?
The main reason he didn’t get minutes this year, is because he isn’t as good as Caicedo, Mac Allister or Gross.

What a difference a year makes in the life of Billy Gilmour. From being relegated with Norwich this time last season and being absolutely slated by their fans, to transfering to BHAFC and being a key part of our final push that 6th position and his name being sung in praise by our fans.

Another reason for Billy struggling early on was that he was having problems with a stalker. it would have affected his game

Yes, he’s done well and had to be patient, Must have been very frustrating for him. Gonna be a star for us I believe.
I think Billy will get a lot of game time next season.
With Mac and Caicedo likely to depart, he and Groß will be our No.1 central midfield partnership until new signings or players like Moder, Alzate or Ayari can displace them. With European fixtures and cup games, even if he is not our preferred Premier League starter, he should still get a lot of game time.

I think you've identified the two key factors there -- fitness and competition. We'll probably see much more of Gilmour next season. He is the closest we have to Caicedo (though he's notably lacking in the dynamism, physicality and ball recovery elements), but we'll need (at least) one more player to cover those qualities. I suspect that we'll probably spend a fair bit on a DCM this summer to address this.
