Bayern lost today at home. Should Dortmund beat Augsburg and then Mainz, they’ll be champions.

Would love that. The borefest of Germany, Scotland and France where the club with the most wealth wins every season, broken for once. Germany’s particularly bad as Bayern have always raided their closest rivals for managers and players.

This is also happening in the Premier League

Imho not as bad …. yet.

In recent years Liverpool and Leicester won the PL without financial doping.

Next season Saudi Arabia (Newcastle) and Qatari/Ratcliffe (Manure) will have spent shed loads on players, in an arms race with Abu Dhabi. Sadly it is becoming nations owning English clubs, but at least it’s several of them :lolol:

It's Dortmund's to lose now. However never underestimate the ability of BVB to choke at a critical time. They have form. Hopefully they won't this time.

All going wrong for Dortmund, losing 2-0 at home and Bayern 1-0 up away

Got 1 back, but a draw won't do it
Cologne equalise so back on for Dortmund.

Update Bayern take the lead as it stands will win league

Bayern briefly going level didn't help Dortmund - once the fans started celebrating the players eased up ever so slightly with the relentless attacks. I may be talking out the end of my arse but that's what it seemed like! Annoyed Bayern won it again.

Dortmund did an Arsenal
Arguably worse as they were ahead until this final day and only needed to win one at home against 9th-place Mainz. They also got a penalty which they didn't convert. Bayern were away against a similarly-placed team (Cologne) and were given a penalty against. For all the people online saying they deserved it, losing it with a massive choke like this one is exactly why they don't. I have no love for Bayern but neither do I believe in "moral victors" in football (unsurprisingly perhaps.)

Dortmund were absolutely dreadful today. They looked lethargic and clueless going forward. It reminded me of us and that infamous home game against nine man Walsall.
