f*** off.

Only wanted this bounced if I was proven wrong.

Players are clearly absolutely knackered. Sadly this will not be the last poor performance and result.

Mods - close thread please?
Sorry but crying to a mod to close the thread is kinda immature….it’s there…suck it up….seasons not over yet

You were thoroughly disliked before, then you left and no-one cared. Now you’re back, and writing stuff to ensure no-one likes you again. And I’m the moron?

I doubt 99% of people here even know who I am, let alone know enough about me to have an opinion about me. You're a moron... who probably pays too much attention to strangers on the internet, by the sounds of it.

Feeling like a bad omen. Don't want my prediction to become correct. Would rather this thread disappears and the rest of our season turns out OK.

Supersticious perhaps.

The only thing I remember about you was when you said your contributions funded the site, which gave us all a good laugh. That said, I have no beef with you and find your general unpopularity amusing rather than offensive.

I wouldn’t worry about bad omens…and if you do then perhaps you should have thought about that earlier….us losing tonight isn’t remotely connected to your thread ….just maybe take a step back….there’ll be plenty of other threads predicting impending doom

Maybe just have a think about the thread itself. Folk enjoying our best year and then 'I predict this season is going to end horribly'.

Whether that's correct or not, it's not a thread I would start amongst folk who are enjoying the ride.

Is it not a positive action to soften the expectations of others in order to minimise their potential disappointment?

It would be far better to put it in a different way that says, whether we make it or not, we should all be glad for such an enjoyable season. You won't minimise potential disappointment by shoving a dagger in folk's hopes and expectations, you will just cause argument.

I'm not convinced we are going to make it. But I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the season, supporting the team, and the fact that we are still in the mix and the possibilities are there.

Actually, the last sentence is probably the way of putting it.

Bang on, couldn't have said it better.

Edit: "I'm not convinced we are going to make it. But I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the season, supporting the team, and the fact that we are still in the mix and the possibilities are there." - and you added a second perfect sentence.

I don't think so.

There are still lots of games to go... The expectations have been so high, and realistically, this is the first of several, if not many more, poor results.

Would prefer for other fans to be pleasantly surprised, rather than gravely disappointed.

Which is why I want this thread removed now

Blimey, haven't you asked for enough threads to be removed already

Everyone's reaction giving you a hard time?

Maybe if you started with a smaller thread critical about a single player, provoke a small reaction, but nothing major. Then say 12 weeks later, criticism of a particular match, provoke another small reaction, but you'd be used to the reaction so it wouldn't be so bad.

Then you could start this much bigger thread writing off our season and when it provokes a larger reaction, you will have built up some immunity to it, and you wouldn't be so bothered by people criticising you.

When's your next appearance on the Muppet show 😁

I’ll be on the Moron show according to him apparently 😀
