Yet, what do any of you do. Believe in the democratic system and echo in here.
Even if one person went to Downing Street, that is action. You can take behaviour to the very limits, just know the law and when to walk away.
Change or no change? Its really not in our hands (but you will have a great time abusing people who think they are untouchable)
And then you wake up in the morning, watch the news, and nothing has changed.
At least you gave it a go, and will again.
I've read this three times and no, haven't got there yet.
Sorry

GB news stalwart and all round **** Lee Anderson appointed Deputy Chair of Tory Party.

He really is an utter ****.
He is the leading protagonist of the culture war in the Tory party. A real wolf.

Strikers, trans people, black people, Europeans and ‘experts’ beware. He is going to work with the right wing media to blame all our woes on you. He has been put in place to garner the vote in the red wall constituencies for the next election.

The way he’ll do it will be to make northerners angry and full of hate. The line ‘they think you’re stupid’ will be used a million times.

😂

Your answer is to go to Downing St and shout at politicians who can’t hear you?

You’re aware that under new laws you can be arrested for such action?

In fact, under incoming Tory law, you could actually be arrested for your above post.

Which all means it is more important than ever to keep protesting but shouting through a gate at the end of a road to people who can’t hear you? Nah, you’re alright ta.
Good news. The House of Lords defeated some of the more draconian clauses.

yes, some dont like to acknowledge it, he represents part of the electorate.
But every country has some bigots, and they represent a minority fringe of the population, you don’t pander to them.

In the same way that a sensible political party should also not pander to idealism without taking into account human nature.

Pandering to either set of outliers whittles away at your support in the centre ground inhabited by the less bigoted/more pragmatic individuals that form the majority of our society.

The Conservative Party in its current form, to speak frankly, needs burning down and starting again from scratch.

Which is a game of diminishing returns that will become apparent at the next election.

I really don't understand the strategy of this party unless they are looking at the election after next.
depends if that group is growing or shrinking. these are people that think they are being ignored, they dont like focus on other areas. even though things may be net worse for them, and they aren't traditional Conservatives, might vote that way because someone is speaking for them.

talking to @chickens point, ignoring the bigots probably lost Brown an election and certainly has changed voting patterns the past decade. better to change their minds, not tell them they are wrong.

Your last line is spot on. So how is appointing Lee Anderson - a lying, opinionated gammony bigot - as deputy chairman working to "change their minds"? If anything it normalises that line of thinking.

Good news. The House of Lords defeated some of the more draconian clauses.

They were proposing something straight out of Putin's Russia.

I actually discovered yesterday that my energy supplier has been donating to Just Stop Oil, they need to keep going in what they are doing.

Only yesterday BP made announced record profit, the response was to roll back its net zero targets and double down on hydrocarbons.

Tories in the pockets of big oil, they're getting on easy ride

Conservatives are just chasing that vote, not interested in changing minds. broad church and all that.

The Conservatives are heading towards an ideological crisis, you only have to look at the age of their membership to see that.

They have positioned themselves as a neo liberal anti-Europe party. Looking towards the next decade the demographics simply don't add up for them.

They had their chance with the "red wall" but that all about the promise everything deliver nothing blame the other side strategy of Johnson.

The vast majority of those voters will return to Labour at the next election.

Their share of the vote has fallen below 20% in the under 50's, even lower in the under 30's.

They are the pensioners party. They don't been appeal to business people anymore, just clueless....

agree, though they're well into a ideological and identity crisis. where i depart, i'm not convinced they'll lose all those voters back to Labour, lot more open especially if economy doesn't go as badly as expected.

Quite a lot of the bigots are switching from the Conservatives to the Reform party.
