I'm hoping that the Sky 30 min highlights show a moment in the second half where B'muff were threatening but fizzledout. Their number 8 ran from the halfway line and sat down in our pen box injured. Just like that, sat down with no-one near him. It then took all of 60 seconds for him to 'recover' from his injury, after which he stood up and ran all the way back again. Comical.

Was it Pawson that gave that dodgy penalty against Elphick when we played Bournemouth at Withdean. Think we were top of the league under Poyet at the time. He jumped with Fletcher and there was a dubious handball that was actually outside the box. Not been a huge fan of his since then, but apologies to him if it was in fact a different ref!
It was Darren Sheldrake

Not a chance a penalty. Ref the them absolutely take the piss out of him with the timewasting. I mean, going for a drink break. How is he letting them get away with this? Get your card out when it's that blatant

So much talk about schemes to end time-wasting at the moment and, as usual, they make it far too complicated. The first time a player kicks a ball away or feigns an injury, book them. Don’t wait to make a big show of it in the last 10 minutes. Makes it tough for the ref not to send someone off in the rest of the game but that’s on the players. They’ll soon learn and we won’t get cheated out of a flowing match, which has become the norm these days.
Should really have been more forceful when the game was stopped for a Bournemouth player to pull his socks up while sitting down, with the other nine Bournemouth outfield players wandering over for a water break.

He ran over to the ref and in a kids party game musical bumps style sat in the floor behind him 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ Justice.

I’ve still not forgiven him for that game. Dreadful ref.

Yes, but he did point at his watch each time then add 25% of the time wasted to stoppage time to be fair 🤷🏻‍♂️

As a general rule, the PL is awful with added time. They just make the minutes up and they’re always too short.

The World Cup was much better and more realistic, should have learnt from that.
Not applicable yesterday but I’m convinced they don’t add on enough a lot of the time because the inadequacy of VAR is an embarrassment. If they accurately reflected the age it takes to check everything, there’d be 8 minutes plus at many matches. It would draw even more attention to how poorly implemented that system is.

A name etched in your memory.
Me to it is was one of the few games I had taken my daughter to at Withdean, she must have been 6 or 7 at the time. I was fuming after the game and she was a bit shocked because she’d never seen me that cross about anything before.

It is the reason I still can’t stand Eddy Howe. Smug Prick.

This appears to be happening all too frequently and not just Saturday. Player goes down, ref asks (I assume) do you need the physio to which they reply (I assume) no but then spends another 30 seconds on the floor adjusting socks and the like. As soon as the ref deems the player is ok then he should restart the game not wait around for the berk to do his barnet.

It felt like the ref was getting visibly annoyed with the Bournemouth players sitting on the floor because of an 'injury' or suffering from cramp. Kept pointing to his watch during these stoppages, and on a few occasions seemed to stop the medics coming on & told the player to get up. Really hope he actively made the decision to limit the injury time because it was so clear it was all Bournemouth's creating.
