…and only started once in a poor Belgian side…ive no beef against Tross…but ive watched him enough to judge that he didnt always ‘turn up’ ….at his age its his chance for a deal to set him up and play less games which will suit him
To be fair to him, that was because Martinez was refusing to bench Hazard, despite Hazard looking awful. The Belgium fans were desperate for Trossard to play.

Love how the Arsenal fans are grizzling over signing someone of his age... "he's 28!!"

So much so that phrase is trending on Twitter.
It's crazy. It's a great signing. He makes a difference, he's a match winner. He will undoubtedly contribute off the bench and if he starts. Supporters of the big teams are nuts. They're literally on the verge of winning the league. That seemed impossible at the begining of the season. Every pundit has said 'they need more strength in depth'. They're signing a proving goal scorer and match winner and the still find something to moan about!

If we could get 25m plus add-ons, that would be a phenomenal deal for us. Good player when he wants to be but highly inconsisent, as RDZ has said we need players who play at 100% in all matches, Trossard has never been one of those.

If only he played against those teams every week, eh? To be fair, I don think he has what it takes to be a success at the top level, but not turning up against Villa, Forest, Fulham etc would be concerning if looking to sign a player to compete week-in-week-out at the very highest level.
It was the Charlton match that alerted me that something was wrong. He looked like a pub player in that game. But it is standard for him: looked like a world beater at Anfield but not so much in the bread and butter games

Improves our reputation as a stepping stone for players to the big six - and a big cheque.

Hard to take as a fan, sometimes, but all-good if it encourages more starlets to join.

And in this case, we got some good mileage out of him and a profit. Can't complain really.

Yep, get out before you’re burnt out.

If he's off now. I'm sorry to see him go. All the best to him, I won't be giving him any stick on his return.

Hope we get a decent fee and spend it as we usually do, on extra scouts to watch the Papua New Guinea under 14's 5th division

Smith-Rowe is surely ahead of him in order... I just dont see Leo playing much at all

Which this season will be fine, he will put up with it, next season though he will be a problem for them

Unlike Potter and Cucurella, Trossard has had a bit of a fallout with management so while not great, it is understandable that he wished to paint himself in a good light. I hope he leaves on good terms, I will not give him any grief on his return as things stand as he is a major part of why we are where we are today. I've loved watching him in the stripes. He's class.

At £25m (ish) it's a gamble. But probably one worth taking for a team in Arsenal's position. Suspecting it will happen and good luck to him, and to Aresnal, if it does.
Gamble? Belgian international and 1in 4/5 for a teeny weeny #teamlikebrighton. He’s only 28 not 30+. If we get ‘our valuation’ then good for all parties

I think the most worrying thing is the fallout with the manager because if it can happen with Tross it can happen with anyone. Our firey Italian may for one reason or another not have the man management skills that Potter had.

Bearing in mind it seemed to have stemmed from a senior player calling his lack of effort out, I wouldn't worry too much.
