Not sure if TikToks embed or not...

Is it me or does none of the things in Jacobs tweet actually get said in that vid? In fact, we say we don’t put figures on players and there’s no chance Barber would talk a journo anything of the sort?

I think we should not bother doing these sorts of things - seems to promote the possible sale of players. Caicedo hasn’t even been a regular for a full season yet, is very young and needs to learn. It annoys me our players are always linked when they’ve barely played enough for us to really push us on to new levels - it’s wayyyyy too early for me - and so will the summer be. Stay a few years and learn your trade in the league and show a bit of loyalty - every player, not just Caicedo!

Aye. The interview is actually from last week...

He's taken Barber's "understands" comment completely out of context. 🤬

Yep, the tweet is contradicted by the interview. Barber clearly explains how valuations are done but the tweet says we have now set a price of £75m +. Another one to file under click bait

Thought so with the email address comment… so the journo has waited this long to say oh Barber told me £75m 🤦🏻‍♂️ We shouldn’t give these dullards so much as an email response let alone a zoom interview.

We don't give values
We don't publish them, but obviously we do have them and it would be interesting to know where that tipping point is.

An excellent relationship with Brighton. 😂😂😂😂😂

that bit made me chuckle. I prefer the way we actually do business. Chelsea's is a ghastly model of operating in the public domain unsettling players and pushing against the limits of what should be allowable
The fans might not like Chelsea but everything indicates Bloom & Barber have a great relation with them:

PB and Boehly being buddies, sitting next to each other at fancy schmancy diners etc.
Manchester City f***ing around with Cucurella & agents for more than two weeks... before Chelsea came in and bought him quite smoothly.
PB saying (radio? it was mentioned here at least) that they didn't have any issues with Chelsea or the choice the ex-staff made
Arranging a friendly about a week (or two?) after the whole coaching staff had left for Chelsea

I think it is just wishful thinking to believe that Tony is annoyed or angry with Chelsea. We'll see a lot of deals made between the clubs, I would imagine. My guess is that he is far more annoyed with City using every dirty trick in the book trying to force Brighton to sell Cucurella cheaply to them. None of TB, PB or DW are likely to give a single f*** about what people on NSC think as long as Chelsea are willing to pay about twice as much as anyone else.

You're talking about something that happened before they came for Potter and a shit load of our other staff.

Don't try and push the angle that they view Chelsea the same way they did before the Potter shit went down when it was clear that they were not happy with how it all went down.
