Who knows how he'll progress, but in terms of the type of striker we've been looking for he just about ticks the boxes. We've need that Murray/younger Welbeck type for ages. Very promising.

Just back from the game. Very excited about Evan. Very confident and capable.
There was a moment in the second half when he just eased the centre back out of the way, before laying the ball
Off. Very Harry Kane like.
The lads going to score goals.
And to think we beat Liverpool to get him. March and Mitoma either side. No need to worry too much about Trossard.

Watching the highlights, he seemed to look to shoot whenever he had a possibility to shoot. Either great striker's instinct or instruction from RDZ. Either way, fantastic to see.

Very promising, but I remember £50m AC after his Spurs showing...

Time will tell, but he certainly seems a find.

Brighton factually.....
He`s a big strong Irish lad who hasn`t even finished growing let alone fill out . He will kick arse for years to come , hopefully for us :bhasign::bhasign::bhasign::bhasign::bhasign:
See I have an issue about all this hype around him, I remember the last time we put all our hopes and got excited about a young Irish prospect, that fizzled out….

I guess the main difference between then and now is the “big“ bit, let’s hope that swings it this time around.

well done Evan, may your progress continue at a steady pace for all concerned.

Evan's whole demeanor is completely different to Connolly. He seems very mature. Of course, any 18 year old could make some mistakes but he seems much less at risk. And there are some wonderful older players who aren't Shane Duffy around him at the club now.

Had wondered if Connolly going back out straight away was simply as they didn’t want him around our youngsters
I reckon Fatty Undav will be shipped out on loan as well

@tronnogull said it for me , AC took the "Reality tv star route" , Evan shows no signs of following that road , and we have experienced people like Crofty who will help to stop any repeats .

Can confirm Ferguson in terms of mentality is already about 20 years older than Aaron. People probably think he isn't ready and his workload shouldn't be insane either way but he has been ready physically for a couple of years now. He was bullying senior centre halves at 14. He has been called generational for 4 years over here. Was just obvious.

He is kept on the straight and narrow and has a good head. His dad played ball too. It is obvious by his interview and behaviour in general. Down to earth and not cocky just confident he can play football.

He will never switch thank god but funnily enough his mum is fully English (That is the only reason he got to Brighton in the end after BREXIT). Rice and Grealish and co were not born here so switch was far more likely.
Hopefully Moran can kick on too, was a beautiful player when here.

Morling did great work for Brighton getting top Irish talent. Probably will regret missing out on Zefi and Doherty as you wanted them too (Liverpool and Inter)
Probably your 40 mill striker and potentially 100 million the way the game is going though.

Love RDZ and now going to watch all Brighton's games again. Best run club in the country. Lucky bast***s

He does. The Cisco kid does the same.

Nothing to do with being Irish. If when I was 18, I’d just scored two goals in two PL games and received an unhealthy injection of cash I’d be off the rails faster than the speed of light.

Just saying I hope he’s got a better head on his shoulders than I would have and some sound people around him to keep him somewhat grounded.

I get the feeling Aaron didn’t.
His dad was a pro footballer who now works at the FAI, so that should be a pretty sound person round him.

To me, he just looks the compete package.

I think this boy is a fabulous player and what a performance last night. My hope is that we don't hold him back as he seems ready imo. Just think on Caicedo who warmed the bench for far too long...........wrapped in cotton wool by an overly cautious Potter.

I for one would like to see what Ferguson can do against Liverpool, especially as Van Dijk and co are currently looking very shaky.

Exciting times ahead!!!!!

He‘s clearly good enough to be a regular starter and I suspect the squad and coaches have known he would be so for a while - He’s come up through the Academy, played for our U21s, scored several times for our U23s, played for our first team in various cup matches and he debuted for the PL nearly a year ago now, so it’s not as if any of it has been rushed - I am sure all the coaches in Ireland and at Brighton, including RDZ have been fully aware of Fergie’s physical and mental characteristics for years and are not worrying half as much as the NSC ‘nannies’ seem to be 😉

- I think we saw a very rounded player tonight against Everton and I feel proud that the lad‘s skills have been honed by coming through Brighton’s excellent Academy programme and kudos to the Club for being able to attract such talented youth in the first place, particularly John Morling who was instrumental at the time in signing him.

Lovely back story here
