I started this thread by saying I’m not a ‘fan’.
My own personal reason for making that comment was that I am ‘neutral’ in my view on her to try and emphasise that my negative views towards Tate aren’t influenced by me being a fanboy of GT.
Simple as that and shouldn’t be associated with the comment from some that seem to have an issue with her.
Hope that makes sense.

Unfortunately he sits very much in the Andrew Neil camp where there are fortunately/unfortunately the best forensic interviewers in the business.
Tate really is an oddity though, but his "message" is confused deliberately to talk to the confused.
He is half neo liberal nut job half extreme religious extremist. Much of he says sits very nicely with the views of the most radical interpretations of Islam.
He's using the same technique of convincing his audience they are victims, whilst the cash rolls in.
Quite on earth any of the frothing at the mouth brigade defend him is beyond me, because he directly challenges a lot of their world views.

He is just "some influencer", but the other stuff is quite separate and alarming.
It's a bit unclear what he has been charged with and that of his brother.
Proper criminals (involved in organised crime) tend to keep their head down these days.
This man really is an oddity, fusing alt-right politics, the incel movement, matrix conspiracy and radical religious extremism. He is either a very dangerous nutjob or an opportunist with a keen eye of the dangers of social media and how to make money out if it.

After seeing the BBC news article on his arrest and not knowing who he was, my godson just showed me some of his past content including his conversion to Islam in part because he can associate with Islamic intolerance.
Oddity is putting it mildly, he is a basket case. Appears to be yet another twit on the internet who craves attention.

Tate classes himself as the most Alpha male there is. Alpha males are the biggest, strongest and do all the mating. He decided to show just how Alpha he was by going on about his cars, which apparently very important to Alpha males. Greta just pointed out that he might be over compensating for a certain deficiency. He picked a fight and was an arse, she gave as good as she got.

Well said HWT. I suspect that Greta does try to be nice but when constantly attacked for her persona and actions to try and save our planet she has developed a number of defense mechanisms.They aren't both wrong. You've got it wrong. Tate is wrong. Thunberg isn't.
Perhaps you are expressing the natural response most of us have to people 'on the spectrum'. How many people would like to give Chris Packham a slap, for example? Or me?
It is a condition that is barely understood, especially when the person is high functional. I work in higher education and have published more than 100 research papers, have a patent on a new drug, and edit a science journal. Yet I have been on three disciplinary hearings. My thing is I come out with unpalatable truths when faced with 'bellcheeses' at work. I have a good nexus of pals, but some people dismiss me as a 'dickhead', and suggest I could have made more of my career if I wasn't 'my own worst enemy'. Personally I couldn't give a shit about ambition. However my work environment is not conducive to my 'having a proper word' with the senior hierarchy to get some support. I have broached the topic but my last two heads of department backed away as if they thought I was about to go for their neck. I really hope this will change in time because lots of talent with a worse mental profile than mine are lost, every day.
But even now, I do expect to be treated as an equal, and not bullied for being peculiar. That why I like NSC so much, because lots of people apparently 'get' me.
Having listened to a few interviews with Ms Thunberg, I would imagine she feels much the same, albeit she seems to have less regard for her detractors than I would.
As an aside I find it hilarious that so many men have been triggered by the small penis jibe. For some men, they always think their penis is too small, even when it is perfectly adequate. So yes, it is a metaphor, like 'small man syndrome', but in this case it applies to men who are relentlessly strident and confrontational, perhaps compensating for a small penis in their mind.
Being on the spectrum doesn't give you a get-out-of-jail-free card, however. I am as knee-jerk prejudicial as the next person when I let my id do the talking. Picking on weakness is a human characteristic, especially if we find someone weird and repellant for some reason. Instead of embracing these feelings, why not try to embrace the person? I have made good friends with people who I initially found repellant, and vice versa. Albeit I can still be a confrontational arse. As John Lydon once said 'I try so hard to be nice' but it doesn't always work

Interesting thread. The bloke is a very concerning influence on our youth. I would have hoped that this kind of nonsense was consigned to the historical bin. I guess we still have a lot of young lads feeling on the outs of society and struggling to find their place. I hope they manage this by more positive means.
There have been a couple of these small dick jokes recently. They seem to upset and offend some people (can't make jokes about anything without someone getting offended these days
). I do find it interesting though that it is these fairly generic retorts that draw people's ire rather than the more specific and unpleasant comments that illicited them. Apparently dealing with rudeness and unpleasantness with a joke is a no no these days.

I assume this is the video people are talking about and my first thought is, how can a guy this angry have any kind of considered thought? To me he looks out of control. Give me a quieter and more considered thinker any day.
Edit: Ironic that after my first observation he makes a comment about over emotional men being dangerous. This guy comes across to me as someone who is totally acting on his feelings. Out of control.

First i've seen on him. Strange mannerisms, very shouty and a somewhat unhinged 1000 yard stare into the camera Therefore, surprised that he seems a successful "influencer" as he doesn't seem particularly bright or charming. Fails the Cult Leader interview for me. Oddly, he does mention stoicism which is something i do agree with. The rest of what he says was nonsense and to me it appears he's found a niche to make a lot of money rather than something he actually believes in.

Started watching the other one too. One thing i notice is that he is trying to distance himself from tweets and previous content (quite at odds with his "men should stand up and say what they think and stand by it"). Perhaps he has gained his notoriety from his outrageous content and is now trying to become more reasoned.
One thing is for sure, his response to being a misogynist of never having hurt any women is looking as though it may be somewhat hollow.
