Amazing shot. Grover’s was still there as a shop (not business) until just before the pandemic. Petrol station is superb. Can’t believe that’s after 1972.
I was going to say how did you know it was after 1972, then I looked at the number plate on the car (Vauxhall Victor?) and saw it was a 'K' plate - although I suppose to be accurate you should say 'some time after August 1971'

LATE EDIT: Interesting that the station nameboard is in the original British Railways format rather than one of the black on white 'Rail alphabet' signs that were used after the 1965 rebrand to British Rail.

I lived in Clermont Road and got the train to junior school from there in 1964. Makes you feel really old when the pics on here were taken after you remember a place!

Think it’s a Marina on the K. Yep, should’ve known K was 71. My brother sold me his rotten 1968 Mark 1 Escort on a G and we still bicker about that now.😂
