His interview about his daughter from a few years ago is both inspirational and heartbreaking. Seems like a great man as well as coach and whatever my misgivings about their ownership I’m delighted for him. And what a team he’s built
I went with my partner at the time and her brother’s best mate was a Bristol fan and so we met some of them the night before (stayed in Cardiff for the weekend to make a weekend of it). They were SO confident beforehand. It was delicious to beat them.
I still have my Brighton St George Flag with “Prescott, give us a ground” and my drawing of him. The fact I drew him minus a few lbs I still believe may have swung it for us
This is true, and I had us down to finish around 12th pre season. A new inexperienced manager and a lot of new players to bed in. So I think all in all it’s a pretty good season.
I think the issue with Pervis is that the role he’s asked to do requires a lot of lung busting runs to get back into position. Until recently, I think his fitness has not been back at the level where he can do that. And nothing winds up a home crowd more than seeing a player look like he isn’t...
We seem to be obsessed with signing FBs who are actually wingers (Barco, Ferdi, now this guy, and Pervis seems to have forgotten how to defend). I feel like we need a couple of FBs who are actually FBs.
I’m mostly worried about this one. It feels like a “he wants to play in CL, can’t stand in his way” situation, a bit like Dan Burn. Really hope I’m wrong
