Great example of that here at 1:08 (incidentally in Robert Sanchez’s professional debut while on loan at Forest Green). The Grimsby goalkeeper was sporting a new grey kit, which blended in with the sea of black and white shirts behind him, as he stood several yards to the side of his goal. The...
Thanks. I’m sure if there’s any downside to your current success as a club, and you have to clutch at straws to find one, it’s that it’s setting some incredible expectations amongst younger Albion fans. I type this as I’m sat at home watching you absolutely spanking Spurs. Still, from the...
Well, certainly some unexpected intrigue in my lowly little club. It’s certainly correct that, when I landed in Brighton one Friday night back in March, it felt like we were heading for better days. The closed shop, Covid era had been a yet another dark period for our club, and culminated in a...
Looking beyond the bigoted undertone of Barton’s rant there, I do personally prefer the majority of male commentators over their female counterparts. Is that because the cadence of the male voice lends itself better to the job, or is it based on tradition? Probably a bit of both in truth...
So, I found out on Friday that my daughter has qualified to represent England at the junior dance World Cup in Prague next year. My initial reaction was one of “how the fúck does someone who inherited my genetics have even a modicum of dancing talent!?”, then turned to one of pride, and then...
I dunno. I’ve had my head down the bog most of today after proving to my wife that it’s perfectly safe to eat week long out of date eggs, and it’s been a nice, steady watch as my immune system grapples with the salmonella.
Mulhern’s been alright for me. Certainly better than the decision making...
To be fair, I think the principle of meritocracy makes a lot of sense - on the surface. The problem with it is, the idea of someone being "the best" in the here and now misses a lot of things.
I'm a straight, white, atheist, male. That's about as easy as it gets, in terms of being free from...
I’m absolutely shattered by this news. It’s not something I ever talk openly about, and maybe I should, but I have suffered terribly with addiction myself and when I read his book last year it was like looking into my own soul at times. I felt like I knew the person, for I could relate to...
Some brilliant images here. :D
Out of interest, what kind of prompts are you giving it to produce them? I’ve had a play with it but all I tend to get is something that resembles a bizarre and twisted post-stilton nightmare.
Any guidance genuinely appreciated!
Nah, unfortunately they’ve dialled them down to 6% as well. The blonde ones at least; the brun still appear to be 6.5%. It only occurred to me a couple of weeks ago when I was drinking a bottle and something seemed slightly off. Tax reasons or not, it only serves to undermine the experience.
So...
Not the cheapest but I use Apple’s MagSafe power bank. Plug my charging cable into it on a night, plonk my phone onto it and both are ready to go in the morning. I’m sure there are cheaper, non-Apple alternatives but can certainly vouch for this:
Even as a non-Brighton fan, that was quite an emotional watch. Captures beautifully what football means to those who follow it, and of course your truly remarkable story from the very brink to, well, the complete antithesis of the pain and anxiety you must have felt so palpably in the nineties...
