In general Europeans really want to like the British but the paralytic drinking, occasional violence, and foreigner hating act has got tedious after 40+ years. Why would any European city want to host a match featuring English clubs?

Right so that's proven beyond any doubt that "drums do NOT improve atmosphere". I must have imagined all those games I've attended in Europe where a well used drum keeps the tempo right and prolongs the songs. (why the hell do we speed-up when singing GOSBTS?)

Or it could be someone committed enough to try and get the atmosphere going while the vast majority sit and grumble about the atmosphere being flat...

I sincerely hope that everyone who said "NO" to a drum sings at every opportunity to try and lift the atmosphere, because evidence of for e.g. the first half against Newcastle, 90% of the crowd is willing to just sit back and mumble to their mates about their pie being too hot.

I'm not sure I buy the TV money argument; if there was no TV money then there would be wage and transfer fee deflation for players across all clubs. So we would be competing based on gate receipts and commercial revenue and league standings would probably be about the same as they are now.

And the crucial point is that you were selling a pair. I have put my single seat on the exchange 3 times in the last 2 seasons (WSU) and it has never sold
