I strongly recommend this plan. I went down to a 4 day week in January and it is terrific. You don't have to rush around trying to cram everything into a 2 day weekend and you get that Friday feeling on a Thursday. Moving down to a zero day week in July...
Very happy, 8.5 out of 10. If that's what Hurzeler can do in his first season in the Prem with a lot of new players to settle in and a bad run of injuries then I can't wait to see what we might achieve next season.
In general Europeans really want to like the British but the paralytic drinking, occasional violence, and foreigner hating act has got tedious after 40+ years. Why would any European city want to host a match featuring English clubs?
Right so that's proven beyond any doubt that "drums do NOT improve atmosphere".
I must have imagined all those games I've attended in Europe where a well used drum keeps the tempo right and prolongs the songs. (why the hell do we speed-up when singing GOSBTS?)
I sincerely hope that everyone who said "NO" to a drum sings at every opportunity to try and lift the atmosphere, because evidence of for e.g. the first half against Newcastle, 90% of the crowd is willing to just sit back and mumble to their mates about their pie being too hot.
I'm not sure I buy the TV money argument; if there was no TV money then there would be wage and transfer fee deflation for players across all clubs. So we would be competing based on gate receipts and commercial revenue and league standings would probably be about the same as they are now.
And the crucial point is that you were selling a pair. I have put my single seat on the exchange 3 times in the last 2 seasons (WSU) and it has never sold
Oh yeah? And where exactly would that get us? Getting on the player's backs and creating a toxic atmosphere works really well for Spurs and West Ham...
I sometimes (quite often) despair of some of the threads started on here. I'm trying to imagine the thought process behind posting about the love of bidets on a football related forum. Plain weird...
