My first choice for Weds pretty much just to see Westside Cowboy. I love their new single ‘Shells’. Haven’t seen them live before so really looking forward it.

About 90% tickets sold for main floor standing and seats. However upper standing not put on sale from what I saw. So prob about 2.5k of tickets sold in a 3.3k cap venue. Not bad imo. Yes Westside Cowboy and Dog Race both on my list too. I think we both saw Dog Race at Mutations Festival. If...

Saw Squid at the London Roundhouse last night. Fantastic as usual. Next up: The Great Escape. Anyone got any TGE recommendations?

Great early spot - I saw them at Mutations last year after your recommendation and they were decent but their new single ‘When’ from Speedy Wunderground is absolutely superb! Very reminiscent of The Walkmen (which is a good thing imo).

[Albion] Quarter Final Time and Date [Saturday 29th March - 5:15pm]

Obviously Forest have a much bigger away allocation than normal - 4.5k. Looking at the map, does anyone know if there are any sections being held back? Looks like a corner of the East Stand not on sale at the moment?

[Music] Your first ever (proper) gig?

    Where did you hear that?

I would agree but would say that that is true of the entire industry - less bands touring due to costs. Another factor that has had an impact is the growth of Mutations Festival and the arrival of Psych Fest, both of which condense live music in Brighton into a few concentrated days.

[Music] Your first ever (proper) gig?

Blur, 1997, Brighton Centre. I was 16. It was incredible.

Is there a Joke Shop in Brighton?

Thanks. From looking online I thought that was prob the case but given I hadn’t had need of one in about 25 years I wanted to check!

Is there a Joke Shop in Brighton?

Anyone know a decent joke shop in Brighton? The one’s listed above no longer exist.

[Albion] Albion v Brentford *** SCORE PREDICTOR THREAD ***

I’ve tried looking online; normal match day train and bus service tomorrow evening?

[Music] Is this currently the world’s best live band?

This thread is obviously subjective nonsense but I’ll bite…. I’ve seen 20+ acts this year alone that are better live than Coldplay. And yes, I have seen Coldplay live. If we are talking broadly across genres, a concensus of the top 5 best live acts at the moment would prob involve some...

    [Music] Albums 2024

This is a pretty de facto list; I’d prob only add Honeyglaze, Big Special and Vampire Weekend. Sounds like half the forum will be at MJ Lenderman on 30th May. I’m astonished it isn’t sold out yet.

I thought if anyone on the forum had been at their fabled Prince Albert gig it would be you. That’s always going to be a good humble brag. I had to wait until Nov of 2019 at C2 to see them. I remember feeling really ill with flu that evening but being so desperate to see them that I shoved...
