Inevitable I feel. There must be quite a limited number of supporters, and only a very specific demographic, who would schelp all the way to the AMEX for this. If it was a charity event then maybe numbers would be better but for a routine bash (which it seems the club were trying to establish)...
I also wonder if the spending limits are having an effect? This maybe helps the more canny operators like us? I forget the current three letter acronym for this.
It's a lot less for safety these days. Not so long ago, it was 40 to survive and the clubs in the top 6 places, order aside, was predictable. Now there's at least one or two historically big clubs which struggle and only 30 points needed for safety with plenty of ambitous clubs in the lower...
