Was also there. Very enjoyable game.

The opening goal was possibly the quickest goal I have ever seen, Benn putting Littlehampton ahead after just 20 seconds.

Littlehampton were excellent all over the pitch and fully deserved their win. Good crowd of 220 too.

Did hear that the Whitehawk game may be played on a Sunday owing to cricket being played on the Saturday.

Yes, almost certainly on the Sunday due to cricket having priority in the summer months. Very annoying, as I have tickets for the England game that day; got everything crossed that it's an 11am kick off so that I can do both!!

If anyone finds themselves at a loose end on Bank Holiday Monday, or just fancies a football fix, I'd recommend heading over to Worthing FC.

It's Worthing vs Bognor Regis which is a big derby so the atmosphere is sure to be good and it always attracts huge crowds for the level, I'd imagine they'd be pushing 2000 this time.

I believe a lot of people are meeting at the Grand Vic pub just outside Worthing station if anyone fancies soaking it all in a bit beforehand.

It should be a cracking atmosphere.
As a Rocks fan I'm very nervous. We have our captain Craig Robson suspended and two other first choice defenders out injured.
It could be a long afternoon.

Had the vegan burger at Shoreham, very nice it was too. Cracking game, it was very err….competitive. Unbelievable finish. Now in the bar at Woodside Road for the big one! Come on you Rebels!

Enjoyable morning at Middle Road in what was a very competitive game. Thought Mile Oak deserved the win overall but credit to Shoreham for persevering right to the end to make it 2.2.
Not quite sure where all the added time came from though!?

Then onto Woodside Road. Fantastic crowd of 2101. For an hour Worthing were mostly on top, chance after chance but either missed the target or failed to really test the Bognor keeper. Goals change games though and a moment of quality from Leigh, wonderful accurate finish and the whole complexion of the game changed. Bognor instantly looked more confident, grabbed another well worked goal and saw out the remaining 20ish reasonably comfortably.
On todays showing neither side gave the impression they will be good enough to compete for promotion or the playoff spots.

How did Bognor's no. 9 look? He is Nathan Odokonyero, spent a couple of seasons in Albion's academy before being released. He has just spent two years doing his scholarship at Lincoln.
