... absolutely no-one. Tho it absolutely should be. All you happy fans piling off the trains without a care, without a mask? All those mask-free beery shouty conversations on the concourses? Yeah right you're all invincible superheros. Aren't we all eh? Tho maybe your mum or nan isn't. You might just accidentally pass something on to them that causes them some serious health problems. You should have a serious word with yourselves. Plenty of festivals belatedly realising the reality. Educate yourself. Take a test. Before and after games. Wear a mask. Either that or just keep calm and carry on and don't give a shit about anybody other than your sefish self

WTF. Are you for real? Why on earth would I be arsed to write something like that in normal times? Wouldn't even cross my mind. But guess what? Club's hosted 2 mask-free events in the space of a week. Covid checking has been box-ticking and utterly flimsy. Hurl abuse freely and stick fingers firmly in yer ears. That'll teach covid eh?

I must admit that the amount of people not wearing masks in indoor situations is shocking and irresponsible. However, I did overhear a mother telling her young daughter in Tescos Holmbush on Friday that "Covid is over" , which was nice.

You walked away too soon.

There's nothing Tescos won't sell.

Life returning to normal. Should be cause for celebration, not for whining. You’re like that wee Japanese fella who kept fighting the war decades after it was over. Have a beer and a burger and settle down :)

My wife tested positive today and we have been very careful throughout this poxy virus.
My lateral flow was negative, but we both went for PCRs this morning and I will be very surprised if I don’t catch the bugger.:down:

It would be understandable if you’d posted this last night but to do so now, 24 hours after the match, seems odd. What has just popped into your head to start this thread now. Are you bored?

My Covid status wasn't checked at all yesterday going into the ground (WSL). Shocking. To then be confronted with a number of people in the concourse not wearing masks was quite unnerving based on this. For many of us the football is a real "pushing it" thing for risks we're prepared to accept right now and the claims of being Covid secure through checks have made it so.

Always amuses me on NSC the way random weird f*ckers with nothing much to say just pop up out of the ether every now and then. Long may it remain so!

Its always been like that. One neighbour wants the freedom to listen to music, the other wants the freedom to live without any noise.

Unfortunately the latter category of people, the same who wants a permanent lockdown and shit like that, dont realise that some kind of absolute totalitarian "freedom to be safe from everything" is a pretty shitty for all of those who think life is about more than safety.

He’s right. Some people won’t live with the consequences of their actions.
I felt very uncomfortable in the north stand, with the concourse rammed with people not wearing masks.
133 people died yesterday. That’s over 1000 in August.

I am double vaccinated but still feel nervy.

Anyone rocking up to a ring-fenced environment packed with 30,000 people forfeits the right to moan that other people are risking spreading Covid. Mask or no mask, YOU are the problem. Talk about ignorant

Personally I think we need to take the risk, life needs to return to normal for the vast majority of us but Jeez Loiuse! How can anyone who is at the stadium have the gall to dig anyone else out?!

33,000 new cases today, which is a lot for a Sunday when figures are usually always much underquoted. This combined with 80% alleged vaccination total shows that there is still a high chance of contracting Covid AND passing it on to someone vulnerable but hey, we are supposed to live with this now even though a few small efforts by many would help reduce the cases.

The club has asked for people to keep off the concourses and wear masks, but it doesn’t matter as long as people can get back to normal, and disregard anyone else’s outcome.

It really is a ‘me first’ society now.
