Of the players he inherited from CH, Potter has improved Burn, March and Bissouma - arguably Dunk too.Sanchez and White have cole through the ranks brilliantly, Alzate to a lesser extent too.

But let's not forget he's shipped out Bernado, Murray, Andone, Duffy, Stephens Propper, Locadia, Jahanbasksh, Ryan, Schelotto and Montoya with no improvement at all, just regression. To say he's 'all about' developing players is definitely stretching it. The forwards went backwards last year. The club really need to get a grip on the Connolly situation before his enormous potential is wasted - a loan spell might be the way to go.

So its Graham Potters fault Glenn Murray didnt turn into Neymar or Mbappe?

Get a grip.

He is a football coach, not a magician. Some players are not good enough and never will be regardless of who is in charge. Others, like some who are on the wrong side of 30, wont develop because its too late.

Anyone who's been a line manager will know that if things aren't going well at home, performance at work can suffer. Having read a little about his ex or not ex girlfriend, I can't help thinking that's where his problems lie. I'm sure the club is aware and will try to help, if that's the case.

Good grief what a load of old tosh. Any excuse to keep the bellend at the club. He’s done f all football wise since Spurs two seasons ago.

I’m of the opinion we should loan him to Bristol City

Do him good in the championship and if he throws another tantrum just think what Nigel Pearson will do to him
Out of interest why would any championship team want him? Bad attitude, hardly setting the world on fire with his football, it would probably be another disruption they don’t need.

No? God you're so precious about your hero.

Just saying that some people Potter improves, some people he just gets rid of. Connolly could fall into the latter group if he keeps these off field antics up.

Its quite obvious isnt it, and says nothing about whether GP is "all about player development" or not.

I’ve no axe to grind but he does seem to be very high maintenance for not much return

Think you're right, the only ones who may take him are the clubs Brighton have a good relationship with and prepared to work with us to correct his behaviour/attitude. Perhaps Jones would take him at Luton, there's **** all to do there in the evening.

Sometimes you can't manage someone to be better, you just have to manage them out the door - before they corrupt the team dynamics too much.

I hope this isn't the case and Connolly can come good for us, but....

I do wonder what we might get for him in this window. I mean he's a full international now.

There's an awful lot of people on here wanting to ship out a player just because he's caught covid. Seems quite harsh to me?

I wanted him loaned out after his disgraceful covid-busting tabloid exposé.

The incidents since have modified my view into that of wanting him sold asap and that he is way past last chance saloon.

Harsh or not, that is my view.

How do know he has covid?

Most posters want him shipped out because he is not very good.

Christian Doidge, one of Hibernians two starting strikers, just got ruled out for at least 12 weeks. Wouldnt be surprised to see one of Zeqiri/Connolly/Locadia/Andone heading in that direction.

Falmer, soon...
But, so far, has struggled at professional (first-team) level. As many have said, he needs to go out on loan - and fast.

I've resisted the thought of Connolly going out on loan previously as I genuinely believe he is a good enough premier league squad player. However, given this thread on here and fan and media perception, it's clear that he will be subject to fierce criticism and inference, even without any factual basis. I'm now starting to consider whether a fresh slate elsewhere would be beneficial. As he's Irish, Europe maybe?

Nothing has happened which won't get the fans back onside with decent performances on the pitch.
