First half started a bit tentative, after the first goal it improved into a decent match up until HT. 2nd half not a particularly good advert for Non-League Football. Terrible play, plenty of scraps, it's a wonder that there were no red cards.

Three down, and their centre forward playing for the opposition Loxwood were definitely up for a scrap.

Great ground though Loxwood. Now that is a Theatre of Trees.

Good summary of the match!

Which of the two would you recommend?

If I was going to the Albion match in the evening I would choose going to Eastbourne as it’s nearer.
I’m sure the atmosphere at Eastbourne Town will be better as their fans are noisy, Eastbourne Town are playing a team from a different league and county.

Bexhill v Peacehaven will be playing each other in the league this season, not sure why Bexhill are playing at Hastings in this cup game.

Cheers.
Initially was leaning towards Bexhill as never been to Pilot Field, bit of a legendary ground and living a fair way from Brighton these days might not have many chances.
Saffron’s looks decent and heard the fans are class, as you say easier to get back to Falmer too :drink:

The Saffrons is also close to the station.
I also have never been to Pilot Field but if I go I would rather go to a Hastings match.

I’m lucky as Newhaven are home v Camberley in the cup on Saturday.

Newhaven v Camberley Town tomorrow 3pm, FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

I’ve been looking forward to this for a few weeks, love going to non league when it’s August and I can go in shorts and t -shirt.

The weather gods, hold my beer :annoyed: :glare:

Perfect shorts and t-shirt weather isn't it?

 f*** my luck. :glare:

Newhaven v Peacehaven about 4 years back, FA Cup game same time of year, the weather was stunning all morning and when I left home, the game kicked off and the sun was shining and the sky blue. Half an hour later the heavens opened and the crowd of over 500 were all trying to cram into the stand to take cover.

5pm and it was sunny again FFS.

You need me with you to balance it out. Last time I went to Burnley, it absolutely pissed it down the whole drive there, stopped while I walked to the ground, pissed it down all game, then stopped for the time it took me to get to a pub in town. Some of us are clearly just blessed

The more practical advice of course, is to drink more, beer coats are the best coats. Tastiest anyway :drink:

More seriously, if it makes you feel any better the met Office app suggests 17degrees and a chance of rain no greater than 10% tomorrow afternoon.

The practical advice sounds great and many times I’ve been at the ground 2 hours before kick off drinking, this year I stopped drinking at the end of January, or a break from drinking has gone on for six months so far :)

Last Saturday the forecast was for rain and thunder storms, went out in jeans, long sleeves and took a waterproof jacket, the sun shone and I was baking hot. :moo:

Well done on the break on drinking, I'm not too proud to admit I need to cut down (from a weight point of view more than anything else) :clap2:

As for the weather, there's no helping some people  :lolol:

Plan today is Horsham vs Hartney Witney Pre season friendly then bomb it to the AMEX

I'd advise travelling by car rather than bomb, if you can find anywhere to park it in time of course. :)

My alternative team YM, are in Jersey playing the Bulls in the 1st qualifying round of the FA Cup this afternoon, and with the team that we are putting out this season, it will almost certainly be as far as we go in the competition.

Saddest part is that l'm not able to go though, rules & regs state, that at present only the team, substitutes, manager, assistant manager, physio, and kit man are permitted to travel, can spend one night on the island, then have to return tomorrow. No room for officials at all.

Yes,that is a shame

I believe the winners of that play Newhaven/Camberley in the next round

Hopefully you'll have a little trip down to Fort Road in the next round
