Hmmm. Lol right back at ya fella. We shall see. The upcoming season is different. No guarantees but I am sure Tony will not accept going with what we’ve got in the striker department.

So hope you are right, just think we need to get some one in before the season starts.

The Mail article indicates we are going for both Nunez AND Edouard!

Exciting if true. “We have bid for Ed and enquired for Nunez”.
I don't trust The Mail, but if true, I wonder if Celtic would be interested cash + Locadia deal. He might do alright in the Scotland.

In an ideal world we’d bin off Locadia, loan out Connolly and Zeqiri, sell Tau and Andone and sign Edouard and Nunez. Looks like we might be stuck with what we’ve got until at least September though....

Why would you loan out Connolly AND Zeqiri or either of them when they have both proven that they are willing and can do a job? Not to mention that they are young and will improve? Tau just got his first goal for us. Andone is showing fight. Would you prefer us to sign two unknown strikers and just instantly waste all the money we made on Ben White that took about five years to build? Oh I see, you were serious!

I don’t really get this Nunez stuff
He hardly set the Portuguese league alight.
Take out the 4 top teams and the league is worse than the Scottish league

Zequiri seems to have a burgeoning potential career as wing back cover

Exactly, you’d think no one had ever heard of the theory of player evolution! Oh, we’ve already done that gag...

We are no longer in league 1, we don't need players up front that are willing and 'can do a job'. We need a striker that can take some more of the 100s of chances that we created last season but did't put away! Andone wasn't the answer before so why, after a serious injury and unsuccessful loan spell, would he be now?!

If we want to make progress It's absolutely essential that we bring someone new in, I'm frankly amazed that theres anyone who's regularly watched us last year that can't see that!

Might be wrong, but I’m not sure Zeqiri has ever played up front for us. So unless we genuinely see him as a wing back I’m not sure he is on the right track. Connolly could benefit from a decent run of games and the confidence that and a few goals will bring. As well as the discipline it’ll demand. I can’t see that happening here this season. I’m not saying getting rid.
The we sign a striker and Cucurella you can’t imagine either (Z and C) getting much of a kick.
Our two recent big academy successes, Sanchez and White, both had plenty of loans. Some of the youngsters who’ve just been in and around the first team seem to be treading water a little.

Like many have said, the midfield offered minimal goal return and they can and should improve on that. Also we are a club whose philosophy is based on developing young players…

It doesnt matter about the midfield, you need strikers that either create or score goals, thats their job. Not ones that miss hatfulls of chances!

Our philosophy is about getting the best players that we can on the field within a budget, academy prospects are only brought on if they make the grade. If not they are either loaned out or sold.

The midfield doesn’t matter? (chokes) I think you’ll find that every player matters in how or whether we score or concede. As for your take on the club’s philosophy, Potter has started loads of young players. Which team have you been watching?!

You’re accusing Zeqiri of treading water? Alzate? Sanchez? Who else?!
