Arsenal are desperate and are willing to pay obscene prices. White is good, might become very good, but I think he should have waited for a Champions League team that play out from the back and counter attack. Arsenal concede goals and I am not sure if White will stop them conceding as there are lots of problems in terms of how Arsenal defend.

Thanks for turning him into a £50 m player

Lol

All of our players look better under Potterstyle therefore obtain a higher price.

I don`t like losing BW , i would hate to lose EB , but to lose GP would be a monumental blow of epic proportions for our Great club . I personally can`t think of anyone who could work the same magic with the tools at their disposal as GP has done , we had better look after him or we will be forever wondering why .

As always, thanks for stalking

BW's reputation was forged at Leeds. The Cult Of Potter had the square root of f*ck all to do with enhancing his market value

If you truly believe that you are either

A) Deluded or
B) Completely deluded.

I go for option B myself.

Every time I think about the Ben White story, I think haven't we played a blinder? We loan him out in the championship for a season, turn down 25 million ish for him from Leeds, get the benefit of his services for a season, Leeds' shenanigans help put him on the radar, he acquits himself very well and gets selected for England, and now we look set to pocket 50 million for him. Brighton have played Leeds like a fiddle. I don't think they realise it even now.

Let’s be honest. Out of all this Leeds look like complete mugs.

Dont think too much about it. THPP is still furious about GP committing the horrendous crime of being someone else than Chris Hughton. I think anything THPP says about GP is something to ignore rather than be annoyed/upset about.

Club has to play a delicate balancing act in these situations. Whilst we don't want our best players to leave, they have their price and to deny the opportunity to go to a big club is detrimental to the player and squad moral in the short term. Further to this it also has implications when trying to recruit young talent at youth level as we are starting to prove a pathway to the first team and beyond is realistic at BHA which could give us a competitive edge against some of the London clubs with a history signing hundreds of talented youngsters who never make it. I suspect part of the reason behind CH's departure, despite an awful last 4 months results wise in his final season was the fact that he was never likely to play youth the way GP has. CH was a tremendous manager for us but he no longer fit the plan that TB has for us in taking young talent, nurturing it and then selling for huge money.

Good luck to Ben, I hope it works out for him and he becomes an England regular too. He has behaved impeccably to be honest and should be held as a role model to young players when these situations arise, both this summer and last. Clearly has some good people around him advising him who can see the big picture.

White is obviously a good player but let’s not overlook the role played by Potter in introducing him as a right sided centre back in a back 3. To play him as a CB in a Back two without a towering partner at CB may show up his physicality issues. Let’s face it he’s no Harry Maguire in terms of stature and heading ability.
Ben is a great player but suits a back three rather than a back two I feel.
So Potter’s tactics last season helped him in his first season in the Premier League. When he goes to Arsenal he’ll have the weight of a £50m transfer fee on his shoulders. Still I’m sure the Arsenal fans will be patient with him.

This is very much how I see it. To my mind he is not sufficiently commanding at a centre back in a back four. In fact he may even get decent game time as a right back. I believe the club are right to take advantage of what I see as 'media hype' to get a fee of around £50million.

Would that be the same Potter who (with HIS coaching team) turned White and Bissouma into £40m to £50m players?

Little wonder that the bloke that counts TB, rates Potter highly.

I see Arsenal playing him in front of the defence or in a back 5.
