Arsenal fans on twitter now calling for Potter

For the time being, he is going to be linked with all of those jobs. Might not always be the case here on NSC, but generally speaking he is "flavour of the month" right now and has been for a while. Hopefully it will be even more rumours by this time next year (since it would mean Brighton did well).

The other consideration is that, unlike players (who only have say 5/10 years career left), a year extra at currently club won't necessarily affect his career so can stay longer.

There WILL be more opportunities (for big 6 club) in due course anyway, not as if one in a career-time opportunity.

Arsenal would be an even more horrific career move for him.

Can you even imagine what he’d have to put up with after a couple of dodgy results.

“He ain’t smart enough ya get me, he comes from sticks and rocks blud”. Toxic fanbase.

Good thread about Potters tactics by Spurs fans. Be warned there’s a touch of arrogance in the replies though, they have a divine right to just take Brighton’s manager.

Also a bit of ignorance about our squad “they’ve only a few good players at a push, Dunk, Bissouma, Trossard” (many here would say Tross is one of our most frustratingly inconsistent players but whatevs).

And Potters not enough, they want Biss and Lamptey too.

Someone’s been playing FIFA...

Aside from what you see reported...

“It’s nice of Paul to say that. He didn’t have to.”

I think GP is fully committed. He’s doing a fantastic job.

Most of the team is new.

Only 6 months ago, everyone was questioning zonal marking from set pieces. He sorted that out. We’re not giving away free kicks and when we do, we’re very good defending them.

The three player swarm to win the ball back is outstanding. We’re now conceding very few goals. This has been very steady progress from a back 4 to a 5 and then to zonal marking. All the while we’ve Introduced a fantastic young keeper. He’s also introduced or adjusted positions all the way through the team. We’re now an excellent team and I love watching us. It’s an absolute joy.

We’re going places.

In light of Paul Barbers comments this is probably moot, but if Potter were to jump ship, should we go for Emma Hayes?

1 community shield
2 league cups
2 FA cups
3 WSL titles

And on course to win WSL and Champions League this season.

Ignore her gender, she is a very imposing Alpha human and undoubtedly more successful than Graham Potter.

Seems the kind of leftfield appointment Tony wouldn't baulk at making. And appointing her would certainly raise our profile globally and create massive commercial opportunities for the club.

Don't be daft, have you watched WSL ? Its literally a different sport.

These don't mean he is NOT going. Just that Albion wouldn't give up without a fight and decent compensation.

Tottenham delay repayment of £175m taxpayer-backed loan for another year, despite owner Joe Lewis being worth £3.6bn... as London rivals Arsenal vow to repay a similar £120m loan this month

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ed-loan-175m-year-Arsenal-vow-repay-debt.html

Spurs, like Arsenal, asked for help from the Government’s Covid Corporate Financing Facility.

Arsenal’s loan is repayable this month and it is understood they will settle it in full despite reporting losses of £47.8m back in March and blowing another hole in their finances by losing Thursday’s Europa League semi-final to Villarreal.

Tottenham’s loan, meanwhile, was due to be repaid in March at an interest rate of 0.5 per cent but it is understood the club have rolled over the payment for another year.
