Here’s an idea, when the queen dies (a descendent and fabulous servant linked to another age) then the whole family can step down from public life and we can stop the civil list. Then the family can work out their differences in private and the entire systemic class structure in this country can wither on the vine without its figurehead family.

Not quite sure why you reach that conclusion.

because that what the article says, that the source authors claim "Harry and Meghan took their concerns to Prince Charles. They want Archie Harrison to choose his own path. And, Charles told the concerned parents that he would consider issuing a new letters patent when he becomes king". so according to that they asked for him not to be titled. this would be consistent with their not giving him Earldom either for reasons of privacy. sometime later situations have changed and stories have too apparently.

Perhaps they can finally set the record straight about me': Meghan Markle's biographer Omid Scobie quotes email he claims she sent to Kensington Palace over flower girl row with Kate - so who showed him the message?

Author of Finding Freedom claims Meghan emailed royal aide over the claims
She allegedly asked if Kensington Palace could 'finally set the record straight'
Meghan claimed this week it was Kate who made her cry in reported dress feud

I’m not buying into most of what Meghan has said . She is clearly a capable woman but also opinionated and very used to getting her own way as well as being driven to succeed . In my opinion When it finely dawned on her that being a senior member of the royal family meant she had a significant workload of events that she had no control over and was just expected to do , she became very irritated by this and at that stage started to look for reasons to get her & Harry out .

I’m sure she did get upset as she admitted she had no idea about how the royal family functions and all the protocols you have to accept . Meghan I believe then started to look to embellish stuff she wasn’t happy with to persuade Harry to agree to leave his family .
Whilst I’m not generally a fan of piers Morgan , I can see where he is coming from with his comments that he doesn’t believe a word Meghan says . Often in these situations, looking at motivation is a good indicator of whether something is likely to have happened .

The whole issue of her mental health and feeling so bad that she became suicidal seems to have inconsistencies when you listen to Harry’s response that he didn’t try to get her help . Maybe Harry thought she was simply upset and irritated which is why he didn’t bother ?

The issue of a title and protection for Archie is riddled with inconsistencies too . It was made clear a while ago that the queen and prince Charles intended to slim down the monarchy and that any children Harry had would not receive a title whilst the queen was n the throne .

The issue about conversations concerning Their sons skin colour , was apparently one conversation according to what Harry said not several . It is clearly possible that something was said but what exactly and by who . Meghan implied it was clearly racist but if we don’t know exactly what was said and the context , how do we know it was definitely a racist comment. Was Meghan motivated to embellish this so that she had another reason to get Harry to agree to go back to California an area she loves and where her mother lives .

No one knows for sure but she is a trained actress and it is important to take that into account and her motivation.

Mental health and suicide are extremely serious issues and whether Meghan is telling the truth or not , we should not let her interview deflect from how these matters honestly do effect large numbers of people in the real world . Racism is also a serious issue that genuinely effects a large number of people .

Are you Piers in disguise? Blimey, you'd already made up your mind about her.

Your point about the title seems at odds with the interview. MM says she was aware there would be no title until Charles becomes King. My understanding is that the only reason they want him to have that title is because with that comes security.

Have you actually listened to the whole interview?

Why do you care ? They don’t care about your life. I’m just puzzled as to why you would be such a passionate defender of a couple of filthy rich celebrities. They’ve made their case for more cash. Who knows if it will be successful.

Guessing you're anti monarchy then?

It's called a debate on a forum. Why do you hate them? From my point of view, if I see a comment that I think doesn't reflect what was said then I'll challenge it.

Are you happy to see headlines in our national newspapers with racial undertones?

As for your opening gambit, I care about the Albion but I doubt there are any players that think twice about my life.

Regarding the cash, they have to earn money as I understand it, they don't now get anything from the royal family. They have already paid back the cost of the refurbishment of the cottage in the UK where they were going to live.

Fair enough. I’m not objecting to the debate. I just don’t understand why anyone would be bothered enough to defend celebrities. Yes, I am anti monarchy. I am also anti celebrity and that includes footballers. I care about the club but am not in the slightest bit interested in the players aside from their performance on the pitch.

Deeply sad that the talks were unproductive, also poor form that the family only talked to the Duke and not the Duchess of Sussex too given she was the one who was treated so poorly in the first place.

Hopefully that is the last we now hear from the publicity shy couple.

And it is that point that riles me. They initially claimed they wanted to back away from Royal life because of the publicity ..... now they court it. Between them they have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. No need for multi-million dollar PUBLICITY stunts. Just go and blend.

Also deeply hypocritical considering they demand privacy when it suits and sued for publishing private family correspondence but seem OK using private family phone calls to keep the story in the headlinrs/ $$$$$ rolling in....

not done them selves any favours with the latest media thing.

Hopefully this can now just be forgotten as everyone sees them for what they are.

Every new press release treated with the contempt it deserves
