I thought the inside looked like Poynings ? It could well be two different churches for outside and inside

The inside wasn't All Saints nor the outside. The road in Patcham and car access leads you to the church entrance on the
left hand side, not the right hand side as in the programme. But, hey, there were many inconsistencies in the programme,
so it didn't surprise me about this laziness on the production team's behalf.

Anyone experts on Quadrophenia will know the police, whilst rushing to the pier, were on the A259 driving out of town.
Knowing the area spoilt it slightly last night. Accident on the Uckfield to Crowborough road. So you know their last pub and the time of the accident, calculate the journey and where the could have stopped.
As a programme, thought it was more ITV4 than mainstream TV.

I read elsewhere that HMRC Durrington doubled up as the hospital. Not far from me, could have been an extra. Bugger.

Problem is when you watch a TV show filmed in an area you know you spot lots of inconsistences. It might just be they couldn't get permission to use the proper place.

I have just watched Devils and they filmed some at Birling Gap looking across from the buildings to the seven sisters, then the next shot when they were at the cliff edge was somewhere completely different, I guess because it is far too unsafe to film at the edge of the seven sisters cliffs

The one that made me chuckle was it looked like his date was in the Smugglers Rest in Peacehaven haha!

The story translated well to TV and was gripping enough for modern TV. I think there was one continuity error where two things were happening at the same time but in one location it was day and in another it was at night. Also it seems that pretty much no matter where they went it was right by the sea apart from Shoreham flyover. Over all it was very good, much better than I expected. The production values were a bit better than say Cuffs :lolol:

Fair point.

I loved it and will be watching next week.
Some nice aeriel shots of the A27 at Shoreham and the adur.
Fantastic that they used that area with the guy in the caravan too.
One thing that disorientated me was(without giving any spoilers),the scene where the incident that was witnessed by the hen party looked like Worthing seafront, then the detectives turned up and were inside the flat and the view from the window in the east(behind grace) seemed to show Brighton pier but then the view to the west(behind the other detective)seemed to show another pier which didn't look like the west pier,it seemed like a pier still in use.i will watch that scene again to get it all straight in my head, but was a bit disorientated at the time.

I thought it was pretty accurate for continuity tbh (apart from the hospital?) BUT - I was frustrated they passed off Newhaven Harbour as Shoreham Harbour at the end, then had him speeding along the A259 from Brighton to Newhaven!

Great programme though - really enjoyed it.

Thank you! I was trying to figure out where that was, because when he said he was on his way from Shoreham-by-Sea (no. 1 Harbour Way, as per the satnav, is nowhere near Shoreham Harbour) it didn't seem to make sense!

Was the penthouse roof terrace with St. Bartholomew's in the foreground, filmed at Jury's Inn?

There or somewhere close - I assumed it was a top floor flat in the so-called New England Quarter, maybe a little further north? You could see Theobald House as well as St Barts but also New England House.

I don't know what make of handheld radio they were using but to get 20-odd miles (with one of them underground) using the built in antenna was very impressive (ie impossible).

Jury's Inn looks a good call

Something that someone said on Twitter last night and would make sense, wouldn't the Police have used a sniffer dog to track him from the scene of the crash?
