My kids had the same but this was a young married couple, the man actually threw my sons skateboard across the road, I had to remind him that he had moved to an estate where there are a lot of kids playing in the cul de sac, but got a load of mouth back....anyway skip on 14 years, my kids have grown up and gone but whose kids are playing on skateboards outside my house ??

I like to see kids playing outside,so I got out my old board and showed them some half arsed tricks I could still just about pull off at 55...
You should remind him about that incident, and the mouthful he gave you.

....and let his tyres down.

I feel very tempted to post about caravans and the ability to move them about, but, I’ll rise above it.

The wheels on my house go round and round.....

( Its funny coming from Surrey but having lived in West sussex for 30 + years I have always considered people from Kent as "a bit Pikey" I don't really get the south Norwood connection ?)

I am sure they were impressed ........... we have a couple of lads who skate on some (I suppose high) new-ish curbstones opposite our place. When I turn into my drive I can see them wary of my reaction - but it's just a pleasure to see lads out and about enjoying themselves.

Reminds of a time when some kids had put a ramp in the road close to my house and were jumping off it in on their bikes. I was watching them and they were just plopping off the end and in danger of a buckled wheel. So I pulled my retro Raleigh Burner (Super Tuff burner with mag wheels) I taught them how to do it properly. I think they thought I was going to tell them off and probably surprised that a middle aged women (I was 25 and middle aged to a 12 year old) could still pull it off.

Bournemouth away recently i managed to find a parking space fairly near to the ground and the road was absolutely jammed with parked cars. A bloke pulls up in the road next to me and asks me to move because I’m outside his house and he has a 3 month old baby in the car so needs the space. I politely told him I didnt want to be late for the match and might not find another space and he went off on one about how selfish I was.

As I walked down the road after the altercation he was still cruising and wound down his window again to tell me how selfish I was. We had a little discussion and he drove off still fuming and in pursuit of a space. Several hundred yards later, nearer to the ground, I turned into a road and there were hundreds of spaces. Oh how I chuckled to myself :lolol::lolol:

Whilst he is wrong in what he is saying factually, kids on skateboards going up and down outside your house can be very loud and annoying.

Is there no skatepark they can use?

There is a skatepark in Horsham Park. My son used to use it in his early teens before he graduated to smoking weed in the park.

You might want to rephrase that bit
