It's quite frankly laughable that some supporters think JLingz wasn't good enough for us and he's gone in and instantly improved the team currently sitting 4th in the leauge table, he's also a fantastic character, his enthusiasm and humour are great assets in the dressing room which anyone who follows his social media will know he's absolutely great value.

I dunno.. I quite like the guy, but did wonder if he would be any good after so long barely playing. Happy to admit I was wrong.. Now lets hope West Ham finish above manure...

The Lingard thing is a bit like the Ryan thing, an awful lot of revisionism going on from fans because it didn't pan out the way they might have liked

Of course not.

Too busy following Royals and 'national day' websites.

You can always rely on WHU to spend money wisely.

Maybe the Dildo Brothers and JLingz will do a joint merch venture.

Vladimír Coufal for £5.4m supposedly on around £30k pw
Craig Dawson on loan, possibly only £2-3m to make that permanent.
Tomáš Souček £15m

David Moyes leading a quiet revolution of how West Ham do things it seems. If they make the Champions League with continued contributions from Lingard, that £4m will look an absolute bargain.

About time they got something right. (I’ve had both Soucek and Coufal in my Fantasy team this year, they’ve done me proud).

Ahem, Sebastian Haller!

Pretty certain both Trossard and Mac could fall over after very little contact and miss a penalty. In fact I'm not sure signing players to miss more penalties would solve a problem

If only they'd scored 4 goals and got 2 assists in their last 6 games though hey?

Potter and Moyes style of management and play does seem incredibly similar so I'm sure he'd go exactly the same if he joined an underperforming team in a relegation battle rather than an overachieving team in the champions League places

I'm sure you wouldn't have posted had the penalty been pushed to safety rather than straight back to him for a tap in.

He's certainly a lucky player, not something we have at the moment.

Still not good enough for 17th place Brighton?

Still not as good as the prolific Trossard or Mac Allister?

Nope. Been shite according to what I've read from multiple people in my "midfielder goal production" thread.

Like this:

"Chip in" yes, but their primary job is to win the midfield battle, so how about Connolly, Maupay and Wellbeck step up, act as men, and be honest enough to say, yes, they have not been good at their primary job....

West Ham on average got around 41% possession in their games. Their midfielders are not doing their primary job. Yes, they are scoring goals, goals that give them 3 points most of the time, but they are clearly not doing their primary job (winning the midfield battle). Hence, Soucek, Lingard, Fornals and the others are shite midfielders and David Moyes is silly for not putting them on the bench.

Not sure of the point you are trying to make.

Football is a team game and the aim is to win games.

West Ham are a better team than us.Simple

I would say West Ham are a more functional team than us. I honestly don't see much difference in quality between the teams but there is a huge difference in the ability to generate positive results. We might look nice and be statistically wonderful but they're actually functional in terms of being set up to maximise their strengths and limit their weaknesses. It might be old fashioned, but the league table does not lie.
