Nothing will happen until the end of the season so Lennon's assistant Kennedy will be in charge until then. If Celtic now go on a glorious winning run for the rest of the season against the likes of Strathcarnarge, Bumblewick Thistle, Taste of Dunfermline et al, maybe he'll get the gig full time.

And if Celtic lost heavily to the Inverness WI.
Would GP say in a press conference, that's football, we were up against a tough team :wozza:

Brighton factually.....
Nah, nothing to see here...

It is a two team league and Rangers are in an upward trajectory at the moment, Celtic is a poisoned chalice.

Backward step in his climb to the English managers role.

I don't think they would be interested in Potter but if they were I could see it happening. If reports are correct, he is one of the lowest paid managers in the PL and Celtic would pay a lot more.

No idea how motivated by money he is but if I was offered 2.5x my salary I would bee tempted, even if it moved to the pressure cooker environment at Celtic.

Following the thread that he’s too good for us, would he be in the picture for Celtics recruitment team now that they’ve sacked. Neil Lennon?

The lure of CL football, chances to win trophies?

BBC website suggests he resigned rather than got sacked.

Their league is ranked 16th in Europe by FIFA it really is a very poor standard. Why would he consider lowering himself to that standard.

Doesn't matter a toss how often Jim White wants to big up his tinpot competition it is rubbish.

Gotta feel for Duffy a bit.

Went up there, joining a team as close to a sure thing for a league trophy as possible and then they go on to have a catastrophic season.

Yup. Not sure they would have won anyway, Rangers are dirty this season.

The consensus is he needs better players to play his style. He won’t find those at Celtic

I think the average Celtic player is a bit better compared to the average SPL player than the average Brighton player is compared to the average EPL player, so I think they would be quite stylish under GP.

He might need better players to play his style with us in the PL (or for us to progress up the table at least) but that doesn't mean another club in a different league wouldn't have good enough players to play his style at that level. I don't watch enough Scottish football to know either way if Celtic could play his style with their current players and be successful.
