For all our huff and puff did we trouble the Palace keeper at all, I can’t recall a good save at all.

No but there were 3 excellent blocks which stopped goal bound shots.
It wa slike watching us two and a half years ago.

Yes, it was sub that worked poorly and in hindsight shouldnt have been done.
Whether Potter instructed him to **** around on the sidelines or if it was his own initiative to become the saviour of the day is difficult to tell, but either which way it really didnt work out.

Whatever Potter tells him Ali-J's interpretation recently seems to be "I'll get in the way of these other chaps in blue, take up the space they want to go in and generally annoy everyone. This is his masterplan".

Time for a day or two off NSC. That was horrible. I can't get our predictable pattern of play in the first half out of my head. Time after time repeating identical moves. So slowly. Second half was a different swarming version, but frankly, unless we ease back a bit, the opposition always has 11 players in the way. Result, 20 odd shots and maybe one save from the keeper. Did anyone really think we might score? For what it's worth, I thought Veltman was the only player with the drive and edge to make a difference. Burn put in a shift too, but lost Benteke for the second goal as he'd just run out of steam. I badly wanted Connolly to play. I picked him as a starter in the hope that Potter felt the same. I hoped he'd come on at half time, but Welbeck got the nod. I still hoped he might get on as I thought he would have been more direct and thrusting. Someone else said Maupay wouldn't have scored their goal and I agree that he would have had his back to goal, turned and shot in to the defender, again. He's always starting from back to goal. As for Bissouma, give him a 6. Cruised around like a player not wanting to get involved for fear of getting injured before a big move. Very flat this morning. Don't want to read or hear what anyone else thinks, be it here, Sky, MOTD, or news sites. Just want to put it out of my mind till a bit of build up to the next game. The Palace match is dead to me. No picking the Best Song I've Heard today or baiting people who say 'would of'. I'm outta here for a couple of days till it's yesterday's news and we're only looking at playing West Brom.

After sleeping on it the one thing that is bugging me more than anything else is that we are apparently paying Lallana top wages, he is great around the dressing room and an all round good guy who has had very limited time on pitch due to his injury problems but when he does play he fluffs our best chances. An England International should not be lashing at shots like a nervous rookie. Yes he’s not match fit but that is no excuse for a complete lack of composure with his shooting.

I half expected to lose last night, it’s just the way of things but those two Lallana misses have pissed me off more than anything else

Sadly I think we are now set up for a defeat by Big Sam, the players confidence will be completely shot after last night and we are facing a team who will be very well organised and knowing they are in the last chance saloon. They will not let us play and we already know how we do against strugglers with an appetite for closing us down and hitting us on the break.

Last night has left us right in the relegation mix. Can anyone see Fulham losing to Palace?

Same. Feel exactly the same way Icy.

Especially the 2nd one he blazed over and he was laughing about it. Just utterly galling to me. As I said in the match thread last night, I don’t want him to play for us. Frankly I’d sooner player a Modor, or a Teddy Jenks or give another young player a chance.

Lallana has come here on huge money and a big flash reputation. But for me hasn’t delivered in one single game, and hasn’t even completed more than a half of football. Give a young player a chance, this ain’t a charity testimonial.

Yeah,
Something about not hitting a barn door with a banjo.
Apparently it wasn’t aimed at Benteke

Not on hear to gloat, but so much of the play but the palace keeper only really made 1 save and one I would expected him to make.

My issue if I were a Brighton fan would be that substitution, the Iranian guy, I mean that was poor, what was that about? You seemed to lose the middle of the park after that and the game became a bit easier.

With Brighton ripping palace a new one in the midfield, it seemed a very strange sub... I would be seething.

A good number of us are seething about it.

A unbiased view of the game from the Spanish media.

What a sad, tedious trolling cùnt you are.

Can't just be happy with that victory. Have to come on here a few times to chip in. Sad tosspot.

Well I had a good chuckle at that, to be fair.

Still feel that the game and how it unfolded at the death was so batshit mental that the only medicine is to laugh about it all

Thats how i am feeling tonight & to be fair that was quite funny, it was also very accurate.

If the template of how to play against us was not already common knowledge it is now. Expect more of the same at the weekend. It looks like it may not be the cruise to the end of the season it might have been.

the wrong albion at home will have to attack, at least in the second half; i hope, 0-2, i reckon

That was a disgraceful result. Shocking. Players will lose all confidence they had built up in the last 6 games, and will be nervous, shakey and will ultimately lose against WBA in Saturday. Fulham will beat this lot as well. That was a very, very troubling result. We are in deep trouble now. This result will cost us our place in this league.

What was he thinking bringing on Ali J? Why does he still get a chance? Pathetic management last night. Dreadful.

find the plot

Give it up mate. Please. It seems whenever you have an opinion, we have to hear about it over and over again.
I'm pretty sure that the Ex. England international is not here to take the piss out of the club, from what I can ascertain he's a technically gifted and thoroughly professional individual who adds to the squad even if he's not playing.
If Mr. Potter decides to pick him over Modor or a youngster, then that's fine by me.

i don't partidually mind that. however, i wouldn't go on their board if we won. it's the cowardly lurking, and then chiming in when it suits that irks me,

him and postcode pikey, total cuunts

Kind of want to do a poll but there are far too many.

Just wondering if people felt Potter should have played for the draw in the last 10 minutes or gone for the full three points like we did?

Hindsight is wonderful and all that but personally I was happy to see us pushing so hard for those three points.

It was of course gut wrenching to lose in that manner in the end (and still hard to believe), but that's the risk you take.
Now I'm a bit concerned we will see a lot more draws again...

Very good. As the saying goes, "He who laughs at himself will never cease to be amused". Enjoy your win. It is still only a matter of time before we steam ahead o you, we are but a half decent striker missing before being a decent side (although if we go down, then it could be another 30 years).

we'll finish above these idiots this season
