The question is what constitutes "fans return"?

We could be in a holding period of say 25-50% capacities for a number of months, do live games on TV stop as soon as the first fans are back in? Or...?

This!

Currently paying SKy/BT £58 a month to watch the Albion games, with none?/little of that going back to the club.

Just £5bn for the three years (for 200 live matches each season).

Yeah

Instead I'm giving £33 to Sky and £25 to BT each month to watch the Albion instead.

Hooray for free football!

It's not "instead". If the £14.95 'deal' was in place, you'd need to subscribe to Sky and BT to catch the Albion games which they selected for a wider audience, and the £14.95 for each of the games they didn't.

As things stand, anyone can pay £10 to watch a single (Sky) game on NowTV.

Well no.
I could just Pay £10 for the Sky games televised too.
Glad you got your free football though.

Good to see Sky and BT are still getting their rebate from the PL too.
They must really be feeling the pinch in these difficult times.

Well, quite.

You would have thought that with far more games to televise than in a normal season, their revenue from advertising must have increased significantly? Or perhaps they are providing the spots in commercial breaks for free? Yes, that must be what they're doing.

No.

Wait, are you suggesting that if all Premier League matches were live on TV (under normal circumstances) attendances wouldn't be hit?!

Circumstances aren't normal.

And...

No, actually, no.

I'd still go and as you know I'm old and decrepit and live 80 miles from t'Amex, as we call it out East ???

At the end of my tether
Down side for me is yet another 8pm kickoff, and we have to wait until Monday! They really must think we are the dross to keep scheduling us at that time.
I long for the days when the phrase “when Saturday comes” meant that everyone looked to 3 pm Saturday for football and at 5 o clock we had the full classified results

Why are you waiting until Monday ?
