Madness I know but I think we can win this, so no I wouldn’t settle for a point at the moment

We are on the cusp of greatness

I admire this optimism, yeah we can win but its very unlikely

I'll take the point and build on the run..

This is the 2021-flavoured Liverpool: a little bit flaky, no central defenders worthy of the name and capable of losing at home to Burnley.

This is 2021-flavoured Albion: good in possession, creating chances and giving many teams a right good footballing lesson (let's ignore the scoring goals and winning games bit)

Take a point though?

Crazy not to.

A point is massive, plus would piss off a particularly vociferous Scouse colleague, so an obvious Yes from me

Put me down for a point.

I’m much more interested in the Burnley game where I believe our away form could prove telling.

I’m predicting an absolute meltdown on social media this evening as the team news is released which will confirm that Potter is prioritising Burnley with a ‘tinkered’ team for Liverpool. The Potter Out Campaign are going to go friggin nuts!

A much changed line up is possible .... however

1) We played a strong team in the cup, which tells me that GP is prioritising momentum provided by results over fresh legs
2) Our bench was very strong against Spurs. If Connolly, Lallana, Alzate, Burn, Tau start, (even Moder) that's still a decent side

I'd take a point, I hope we don't just choke though and get flattened by Salah, he's overdue for a big score in Fantasy Football.

You stop Salah in the same way as you stop Son ....... win the midfield

Didn't we take apart a decent West Ham side (but typically failed to win)?

The bit in brackets is sadly still relevant.

For what it's worth, I suspect we will play very, very well tonight and probably get a draw when we feel we could win. It would then be classic Potter Albion to put in an uncharacteristically flat display against there-for-the-taking Burnley, who just put 10 behind the ball and take the point. I hope that since the Wolves game we have a new Albion who might actually do enough to win it.

I really liked the performance against Citeh away though. I can see some players from that team starting tonight.

If we do lose it's important not to get turned over as our GD is currently worth a point against all the teams around us so yes I surrender, for the first time this season I'd gladly take a point tonight , and no injuries.

Of course I'd take a point, but I am strangely relaxed about this. I'm back to put on a good performance and what will be will be.

I have a new found confidence that over the second half of the season we will get the results our play deserves. We are certainly capable of getting 3, but I would be happy with 1 and wouldn't be unhappy if we lost in a game where we played well but Liverpool played better. It can happen :)
