As I don't work for the club in any capacity I don't feel that I can say with any confidence who should be getting the manager role as I don't know what criteria they would use for making the selection, this would be a decision I would expect the club to be on top of and, as said previously, to always have a back-up plan available in case they have to suddenly bring in a new manager at relatively short notice. So I can't provide you with a simple answer because it's a more complex question than you seem to think it is. However, from the evidence we have presented to us on an almost weekly basis it seems apparent that the man who is currently doing the job is not up to the task of doing the job as it is a results business and the buck stops with him.

Unbeaten in last 3, 2 clean sheets in last couple league games, just won away at Leeds.

Drew tonight, didn’t lose. Played fantastic football, players missed gilt edged chances. Record points total last season, still not in the bottom 3.

What recent results are you questioning, our narrow 1-0 defeat away at City?

No suggestions yet. I wonder why.

So easy to call for someone's head. Much harder to come up with a solution.

Thank God Bloom is in charge and Potter is going nowhere.

There has been three suggestions so far, together with a very reasoned explanation as to why one wouldn’t suggest other names.

Yes I read it (yawn) but you didn’t submit an alternative?

Well clearly you haven't read it because if you had you'd realise I don't believe I'm qualified to give an answer to such a stupid, simplistic question. Even if it's parroted repeatedly.

Sussex, by the sea
BEnitez
Howe
Jimmy MElias ashes
Thomas Frank

Michael Flynn would do a better job than Potter is this season.

So who then? Read the opening post before getting all high and mighty

I would have the faith in the club to make the decision.

I’m a fence sitter currently but If he went I’d be sniffing around Farke, maybe Thomas Frank even have a look at Billic.

If that’s your logic then you should equally have faith in the club to make the decision to stick with Potter or not.

I do, I'm not going to be leading some sort of angry mob with flaming torches down to Lancing tomorrow demanding heads roll. But I can at least express an opinion based on evidence of results and performance (in that descending order of priority) on whether Potter is the right man at this moment to be managing Brighton. What I can't say is that "Joe Bloggs would do better" based on at best circumstantial evidence, and more likely nothing at all.

It's beyond me why anyone would suggest Lampard. He's hugely inexperienced, and evidence from Derby and Chelsea suggests he's not yet worked out what his approach is. At both clubs he achieved average results, considering the resources available.
