...the local paper plummets to a new low.

I won't bother even linking it but the Argus website is leading on a story on Ben White having deleted a Spotify playlist titles 'sex' after someone on social media mention it.

Not what I call news. No right of reply for the club or the player. Utter rubbish raked off social media. I don't blame the reporter who is no doubt a low paid junior but the so-called senior editorial staff there.

A new low in local journalism.

The Argus website is so unusable. I doubt anyone could be bothered to wait for all the ads to load and "skip survey" to then actually read the story.

Talking of the Argus - I've noticed that every Albion story that has appeared with a byline for more than a week, has been from Adam Stenning - nothing from Brian Owen.

Is Owen sick? On holiday? Is he leaving the paper?

Horrible rag. Boycotted ever since the horrendous and uncalled for Shoreham Airshow crash front page.

I boycotted after the way they splashed Tommy Elphick's name across their front page, when he was wrongly arrested for the Jurys Inn case.

Young footballer likes music of his generation - wow! This playlist appears to include rap, and we all know some rap has some pretty unsavoury lyrics, but as a story it is a complete non-story.

Only one appropriate reaction to that article ad headline, IMHO: - "So what?"

Hardly surprising from the gutter rag is it?

If I was in BW's shoes I would own it. He must be rolling in gash. I would re-share it with 'and what?' or something. As long as he doesn't have any Garry Glitter or Rolf Harris saved on the playlist he has nothing to be ashamed of.

Problem is that it is really no longer a local paper. I still get the on line version as it’s relatively cheap and keeps me up to date with deaths (!), but the amount of local news diminishes by the month. Oh for the good old days of JV having a “shoe in” and articles of local interest.

The Argus online has really gone down in my estimates recently. Especially since Andy Naylor left it’s gone completely downhill on it’s Albion coverage.

Some articles are just half a paragraph long with a clickbait title, and about 50 different adverts pasted wherever you look. It’s appalling.

Same with local papers everywhere, I'm afraid. Killed by the digital age and t'internet.
