I wonder if ultimately its going to be the physicality of the Premier League that is our undoing not our technical ability. Reflecting on the Spurs/Fulham game it seemed at times to be a footballing heavy weight boxing match. We come over as light weight and injury prone in comparison.

I thought that too. Fulham look a physically strong and aggressive side.

If we (Fulham) had started the season with this first team I think we'd be mid table by now. It's been a remarkable turnaround.

The Khan's made sure that the mistakes of the summer 2018 transfer window weren't repeated. But belatedly. Fulham were awful in Sept/Oct, then your club went on a mega spend/loaning spree belatedly in that last window, your first team is unrecognisable. Recruiting top flight experience, pace and power up front, the hopeless defenders, stalwarts of the last few seasons were ditched en masse.

It worked.

Okay, I was looking at the stats after 14 games.

Ah, sure. Sheffield can't stay up barring a complete miracle. They can catch us, but if they do we're as good as down ourselves. So can't be concerned about them. Big Sam does have previous at saving teams, but the Sunderland and Blackburn teams he kept up were more established than this WBA side.

Playing pretty football well and losing - while your competition are getting stuck in and drawing - is the type of stuff that gets you relegated. The mantra is repeated - 'we're playing well, the results will come' - it doesn't make any difference how well the team played if you don't get a result - you cannot afford to wait.

Lose to Leeds - and Fulham beat Chelsea (given how inconsistent Chelsea are it would not be a surprise) - and all of a sudden in deep :shit:

There's a lot of hope being put in to the "results will come" theory. However, they haven't come for the best part of a year. Also there's the adage that if you keep doing what you're doing, you keep getting what you're getting.

Trying to figure a bet to keep me interested in Arsenal v Palace. Number of penalties maybe?

Fulham are above Chelsea in the form table I believe. Fulham can absolutely win.

Zaha’s latest kiss of the turf is laughable.....I’d add though Arsenals defence looks weak....i would say if fans were allowed in they’d be booing...but I’m not sure they have any

Palace should be ahead here

Arsenal home strip the first half highlight, great ‘tails’ on the shirt, the cut of the shorts, with overlapping side ‘pleat.’
One day we’ll get Adidas back doing our club shirts...
