Behind My Eyes
As pointed out during 'Stereo Underground' on Radio Sussex last night, today, the 10th of January is the 5th anniversary of David Bowie's passing. As a tribute, 'Heroes' was played on the show...........but the German language version which apparently was recorded first. I didn't know that.

Wasn't it a tribute to Kraftwerk? I maybe wrong, my memory is dreadful :)

This was the song used at the end of the Crawley v Leeds footage on BBC. Can't remember the last time I heard it, some good memories associated with it though and a great riff.

Gary Moore - Empty Rooms live in Stockholm 1987

Long before Gary Moore became a bluesman he could do this. The solo in this song is a thing of beauty.

"We look before and after,
And pine for what is not:
Our sincerest laughter
With some pain is fraught;
Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought". - Shelley

A great song but actually creepy when sung by a Man as opposed to the original Cyndi Lauper version (back in the day she could have certainly crept into my room to make love to me).

Anyway it was great that the Big O had a late revival via the Wilburys so that people could hear that voice...
