He’s out of his depth, bizarre selections, predictable tactics and evaporating team spirit. All down to the manager. We are a also a bit too nice and I think only a change of manager will do the job now.

Yep. It isn't just about the strikers missing chances anymore and saying 'well what can GP do about that?'. All over the pitch we look a shambles and/or pathetically slow and ponderous. Maupay had a decent enough return last season. This season looks shot to pieces confidence wise

Well the on that basis we don’t need a coach at all then, let Dunk pick the team and they can work the tactics out on the day depending on which way the wind is blowing?

You think the two man corner idea at Fulham wasn't Potters?
The continued evident lack of practice on set pieces.
Turned a solid defence into a leaky shambles.
Constant tinkering with the team. The players have no consistency and are trying to adapt to the changes constantly
Out thought tactically with odd subs nearly every game

It creates an atmosphere. Too many Brighton fans are way too negative. The press pick up on it the players pick up on it potential signings pick up on it.
The fans also need a rocket up our arsed as we have been piss poor this season.

Fans were great at the game today.

Strikers need confidence..

Switching them around and dropping them game after game is not going to do anything for their confidence.

Maupay's confidence must be pretty much shot, Connolly is getting worse each game (IMHO he needs to drop a level or two to get some game time - learn a new trick because falling over isn't working for him). So surely the only one to start today is Welbeck??

Strikers need managing as much, if not more than other players.

Is this the same Danny Welbeck who has been plagued with injuries for his entire career? His gametime sadly needs to be managed, otherwise I think he would've started today.

well we know that wont happen. Actually thats the first match i ever recall us having FIVE attackers on the pitch at the same time: Trossard, Zequiri, Connolley, Welbeck , AJ

Tossard, hes pony now.

total liability taking chances near our box with oppo players around him, offers nothing going forward at the moment. Both he and Maupay are shot and a waste of space

Bringing Zeqiri on to play left winger seemed bizarre. In that situation we needed someone like McAllister. Cant believe Ali J missed that one at the end. We would have got out of jail but would have been a massive three points.
We look relegation fodder at present. Confidence seems to have gone and if we don’t pick up a win in the next two we’ll be in the bottom three and if we get there I can’t see us battling our way out of it.
For what it’s worth I think conceding the equaliser is a mortal blow to Sheffield United. They must have thought they had their first win. If Burke had scored that one at 0-1 it would have been all over.
I doubt we’ll get rid of Potter but we are definitely under performing at present and I wouldn’t be disappointed to see someone like Eddie Howe come in.

Game management and lack of ideas,Potter was supposed to be the clever manager but Wilder is head and shoulders above him along with most Premier league managers .He will be great for us in the Championship

So why are SU at the bottom of the league with only 2 points after 14 games? What were Wilder's ideas and game management in those games?

I'd say a draw was a fair result, it wasn't like SU were miles better. Brighton need to cut out the naivety at the back, the defence is getting caught out too much on the counter. And play it quicker when we attack, in the words of Karl Pilkington, 'there's too much faffing about'.

It’s probably us (and Arsenal) that are in the worst form in the league, something has to change to rectify that. Either a bit of luck (we’ve had none) or a new signing or perhaps the ultimate silver bullet a new manager.

We need to arrest this slide quickly.

Plus it’s always harder against 10 men.

Genuinely think it's because he has a degree. The world of football has always creamed themselves over perceived football intellectuals.

Yup, but when the chips are REALLY down, they always resort back to the Big Sams and the Honest 'Arrys and Cabbage Patch Kidz Steve Bruce. Same as it ever was

Whilst we are musing about how to fix our immediate problems I would suggest we fire immediately whoever is our set piece technical coach.

Really? Went deathly silent at times and you could hear the groaning.

Okay, let's frame is differently. If the 2k supporters at the game are negative, and an increasing amount of folks are here too, maybe they're right and you are wrong?

If he is so out of his depth why are they not in the relegation zone?

Did Brighton deserve to win today? The answer is clearly yes. Potter can lead a horse to water, but he can't make it drink. The players clearly buy into the style of play, they consistently get into fantastic goalscoring positions, the manager cannot legislate for supposed PL level players missing sitters from 4 yards out.

"Buying into the style of play" is a nice meaningless phrase. Are you saying that the pedestrian, low ball speed, plodding attacks and the glass jaw defence are what Potter has told them to do? If so, all the more reason to go. Or does the phrase mean that players have the option of freestyling it out on the pitch? Never seen that from professionals. Ultimately this post is a defence weaker than ours. We did not deserve to win today. It was a weak performance - wasn't Potter's whole USP that he instilled magical levels of confidence in players? I seem to remember everyone getting excited about him making players take part in stage performances or some such as if he was some kind of confidence guru. Confident players would be zipping the ball around against a low block, eliminating players and creating gaps. We pass across our platform, slowly, for a long time, then eventually offload to a winger who hoists it into the mixer.
We are headed for relegation. We will not throw a load of money at new players, and if we did, Potter wouldn't know what to do with them. The thing that needs to change is the manager - while there is time to turn it around.

Maupay & Connolly need to be benched for Welbeck & Zequiri.
Our problems are inability to score goals from our forwards and midfield.
Whether that is missing easy chances or not being hitting the target with shots outside.
Stat on Sky says we have ZERO goals from set pieces this season.
I am not for replacing Potter but accept we are a struggling Premiership Team and have been since we were promoted.
