Usual bonus points from Arsenal obviously [emoji106]

It’s just too early in the season to be close to a ‘must win’ for me. If we had 10 games left and we were where we are relative to the teams below I’d be going for an 8 or a 9 but not now.

Sorry, but if a home game v opposition that's only picked up One Single Point all season you mark as a 4 for sunday, then let's hope that Potter is not quite as chillaxed as yourself over sunday. Tho sadly expect him to be exactly that. Why would you NOT be, given an absurdly long contract by a naive club oener?

No wonder we have people on here going ballistic when we lose if 26% of us think tomorrow is a 10 / 10 must win gamey

Exactly.........it’s a bit like the player ratings thread. Seeing 10s when someone has been solid (lie Sanchez midweek for example), or 3s when they’ve been a bit below par.......

Save the extreme scores for the extreme situations. This isn’t one. Makes life a lot less stressful too......[emoji23][emoji23]

Exactly. It’s a bit disturbing.

It’s not really disturbing, at all - calling for a victory against a team that has one point just prior to Christmas when playing at home is hardly asking for much - is it?

It disturbs me more that some of our supporters are so seemingly apathetic, that a none result is (shoulder shruggingly) acceptable vs a team who are on their collective knees.

Yes, that disturbs me more - simply sleep walking into the relegation mire.

Can you imagine the press if utd win? It’ll be horrific, the effect on our squad as equally catastrophic imho.

Easy solution - don’t let the state of mind of others disturb you - sounds as though you worry enough all by yourself [emoji23][emoji23] I’ll be panicking if we’re bottom 3 with 10 games to go but not yet and won’t be convinced otherwise. It’s just a view - not right or wrong.

All those saying it’s a 10 - what are the consequences of losing going to be ? For anything at that extreme end of the scale presumably Potter goes by Monday morning ?

We ought to win and would be depressing if we don't more worrying for the future re confidence. I am still convinced we will win and start to climb, not high but relative safety.

Can't believe Sheffield Utd are so crap this season having comfortably done us last year at home.

They need a bit of revenge and hope they get it in spades.

If we have another painful 0-0 then to be frank we should go down as well as them.

No game at this stage is a ‘must win’, but if we can’t beat Sheffield United at the minute, who can we beat?

8/10.

8, but bordering on 9.

Whilst it's not a case of Hereford '97 (and thankfully that wasn't a must-win), failure to beat the bottom side with the worst ever top-flight history at home would be dire.

10.

To fail to beat WBA, Stains, Burnley and Sheff Utd would be a huge blow.

At the same time giving a boost to Allardyce, Dyche and others.

Leaving an ever diminishing pool of winnable games. The anyone can beat anyone theory is wildly exaggerated, especially when it comes to us. Other than Arsenal, the mega spenders are rising to the top, including all the clubs we never or rarely beat .... they’re in form.

Three points would be a huge boost.

Huge game for Sheff Utd too, people forget that...

I think it’s a very important game. But must win? No.

I think we need to define what “must win” means. Are we relegated if we only draw? Of course not, so it is not a must win. Maybe “must not lose”.

The game’s significance is far more than our relative position to Sheff Utd. We must build a buffer against whoever occupies 18th and 19th places.

There are more important things than football and I probably won't even watch the game.
