I wonder if the club are following the sales and are as surprised as me that what looks like roughly 50% of those permitted to buy a ticket have turned down the chance.
Also, as the club have given some to players guests (dubious) and sponsors (Amex look after us), that means that under 2000 went on general sale to start with. As a trader in Brighton I received an email today outlining the tier 2 rules. It states "In venues which sell alcohol, food and drink must be ordered by, and served to, customers who are seated. This means that a business that sells alcohol must introduce systems to take orders from seated customers, instead of at a bar or counter. This applies to both indoor and outdoor settings.
All businesses selling food or drink must ensure that customers only consume food or drink while seated." How, legally, can they have the bars open?

I don't see that they will be allowed to sell booze. Maybe outside the ground as a takeaway but other than that, unless you can be seated with another household in 1901 it's not possible is it?
