Very much a marmite character but has a special place in music history, was the record plugger for EMI and had to convince all the relevant radio stations to play Bohemian Rhapsody, 45 years ago this month, when it was well above the statutory 3 mins which most ‘hit’ records were. Unbelievably there was initially a lot resistance at first not just because of the length of the record but also the operatic content.

I just Googled Eric Hall and E Pellici and lots of posts come up containing the two. I now know was born very close by and has been using it on and off all his life.

I know one of the Pellici clan through work.

Although she runs an IT department in the City (on a very handsome salary), she still gets roped into waiting tables at weekends (well, probably not at the moment...). Lovely family set-up!
