One of our first TV sporting icons, the face of Grandstand, was only watching a documentary on YouTube today about the 1968 Mexico Olympics and Frank was fronting Olympic Grandstand.

In later years his extra curricular activities indicated that he was bit of a character.

Another part of our youth gone forever.

I do remember him on BBC breakfast as a child, getting ready for school. When I learnt of his sordid extras, I was devastated.

Dirty old man. At least he enjoyed himself though.

RIP Frank. Part of my childhood.

Edit - Some wag on Twitter said he's died twice in the late eighties now.
