Borough 1-0 up with a penalty. Just got home in time to tune in and see the half time whistle.

Saw a little of Rustington vs Rottingdean earlier, before having to sack it off due to a miserable toddler in the poor weather.

Only caught the first 20-30 but Rustington looked far strong and their right back scored and absolute peach, outside of the box into the absolute top left corner. 1-0.

Get the feeling there are more than just officials in Priory Lane as the sending off of a Dulwich player was greeted by a female screech of "Get orrrrrf the pitch". Still 1-0 but it looks like the camera is a CCTV one being controlled remotely as it will just stop in the middle of the pitch despite the ball being with the keeper.

Ilkeston vs. Hartlepool (FA Cup) on BBC now - last ten minutes. White railings round the pitch, corrugated iron, lots of trees, rain, fans with umbrellas .......

Proper football! Lovely!

Borough hold on in a dreadful game to make the 1st round for the 4th time.

Finished 7-0 in the end, Rottingdean rock bottom in the league, with -20 goal difference already

Doesn’t surprise me from what I saw.

Looked like men vs boys, and that’s not meant as a dig - Rottingdean had a very small, young side.

Yes, no great surprise: I hear that Rottingdean has decided to give youth a chance this season. It will take time to see an improvement but I hope they succeed and well done to the new management team and players for sticking with it. A refreshing approach at this level where some players still expect to get paid.

I went to Newhaven today to see them comfortably beat East Preston - though it was uncomfortable seeing the lack of social distancing with the crowd.

Steyning 2 Horsham YMCA 1. Wind affected. Horsham better than last couple of games based on here. Some very good players. Almost took a point, with the keeper coming up for the final corner, but Town held on for the third win on the spin. Next up home to Seafotd in the Vase next Saturday.

Well our cup run is over , beaten by the ref today unfortunately. Gave them a penalty for handball when it was smashed at the player from 2 ft away . We had a Stonewall penality claim turned down late 2nd half when our striker was tripped up in the box but play was waved on . Sad way to go out but proud of the players who as usual gave 100% in difficult conditions
