That’s harsh on Burn. More of a bang average 6, I’d say.
Fair enough on Trossard, Biss and Maupay. They have been big improvers since lockdown but didn’t deliver today.
Hopefully one day Ryan will get close to a pen!

No vendettas from me, since Restart in June Trossard and Bissouma have been class imho, Maupay's goals kept us up.

I thought that Burn looked wound up and angry from that early scuffle in the box (I don't blame him, they're gamesmanship crybabies), but it seemed to affect his game from there on in. Too busy in spats, not a cool head in supporting March.

Ryan 5 -- Had literally nothing to do except save a penalty which yet again he sold himself too early, good distribution though and played out from the back well.
Lamptey 6 -- Quiet game by his standard but still helped us dominate the match and bush there wingers right back into defensive positions, never a penalty against him.
Webster 8 -- Faultless game.
Dunk 6 -- Relatively comfortable game, but madness for the red card.
Burn 7 -- Played well.
March 7 - Got the better of his man on numerous occasions and whipped in some decent balls
White 8 - Bossed it in cdm.
Bissouma 7- Leagues above any palace midfielder. Better finishing required though.
Lallana 7 - Solid game classy link up play
Trossard 5 - Quiet game, not his usual self.
Maupay 6 - Played well enough but has to be finishing a few of those chances.

A point won but really should have been three a weak penalty and some blocks by the Palarse defence kept them in the game but we were our own worse enemy some Lovley one touch passing which was repeatedly over played

Ryan 5 -- Absolutly nothing except save a penalty
Lamptey 6- Tough day for the lad but he will be stronger for it
Webster 8 -- After a difficult start to his Albion career is really coming into his own
Dunk 6 -- Not his best start to a season
Burn 7 - Did OK as he always does
March 7 - Really do not get the abuse he gets and he did OK today
White 7- Nice a steady
Bissouma 6 - Poor game by his standards some really way wood shooting
Lallana 8.5- Best player on the pitch
Trossard 6- Poor game by his standards
Maupay 6 - Needed to shoot first time kept turning into dead ends

Mac Allister 7 Not on that long great free kick followed by first touch shot a goal
Gross 6 Not on long enough to make a huge impact
Connolly 6 Not on that long every game goes down in the box far to easily

Faultless Webster ? It was his standard error that led to the goal by mis jumping.

Ryan 6. I wish he’d save a pen.
Lamptey 7. Doubled up on, still drove forward, unfazed by being roughed up by big units.
White 6
Webster 6
Dunk 8. Back to his defensive best. Regarding his moment of madness, I think he saw the glory of scoring a derby winner.
Burn 3. A bit of a wound-up heads gone today for me.
Bissouma 5. Started brilliantly, chaotic after they scored, silly shots from unlikely positions.
Lallana 7.5. Creative quality, always forward thinking, finding team mates effortlessly in tight situations.
March 7.5. Drove us forward, feeding Maupay etc, great ball retention, creative.
Trossard 4. Not at the races.
Maupay 4. Improved in the last 15 minutes, before that so poor at everything including ball control and being statuesque when Lallana, March or Lamptey fed him.

Mac A 7. Thank you sir.
Connolly 4.
Gross 4. Too late to shine.

They are you scores which is fair enough. And some other posters agree with you. Just wondered why you scored Connolly and Gross so low, They weren't on long but they certainly didn't have stinkers. 4 suggests they did.

Ryan 6 -- Nothing to do.
Lamptey 7 -- Some good moments but faded as Palace doubled up on him.
Webster 7.5 -- Not much to do. Wound Zaha up which is worth a point in itself.
Dunk 7 -- Dealt with everything they had which wasn't much. Got a bit excited by the loose ball for the red.
Burn 6.- Found himself spare a lot but his limitation with the ball was exposed.
March 7 -- ... Some very good moments mixed with some indecision. Classic March really...
White 7.5 -- Did very well and resisted the Palace attempts to rough him up 1st half.
Bissouma 7 -- Gave the ball away too many times.
Lallana 7 -- some nice touches in and around the box. Shame there were no takers.
Trossard 4 -- Really poor compared to his recent performances.
Maupay 5 -- Could maybe should've scored twice.

Potter 6 - Thought he might've changed things earlier but our attacking options or lack of them were laid bare.

Ryan 7 - No chance with Len, did everything else diligently
Lamptey 6 - Not at his absolute flying best but always an outlet and handled Palaces limited attaching threat down that flank well, a mark off for the penalty conceded
Burn 7 - We look much more solid and organised in set pieces with his presence, never lets us down
Webster 7 - Not overly troubled but coped adequately and distribution is much improved
Dunk 6 - Horror challenge for the sending off so I've had to knock two marks off for captain fantastic
White 8 - Terrific, really his his straps in the role
Bissouma 7 - A few wild efforts but I won't begrudge him that given his prowess from distance, drove us relentlessly forward.
Lallana 8 - Oozes class, faded a little but a creative outlet always troubling the Palace defence
March 7 - Not at his vintage best pre international break but still gave us plenty of attacking outlet and reliability.
Trossard 7 - A couple of lovely touches but not involved enough as I'd like, a peripheral figure
Maupay 7 - Workrate was outstanding and worked and stretched the Palace defence all day long. Didn't really happen for him in front of goal.

Connolly 6 - Meh
MacAllister 8 - Magnificent strike for the goal and really gave our attack an extra dimension

Excellent effort, agreed

I thought there was a general consensus around here that we are not allowed to rate the players if we watch the game on TV!!! I assumed you all listened to it on the radio.... :lolol::lolol::lolol:

Hi. Nothing against them today, my way of rating subs if nothing majorly great comes from their short spell on the pitch, is just to give a 4 for example. Only because of (understandably) little time to impact.

I can see your different point of view, you’re saying a 7 relative to time on the pitch. Different methodologies.

Digressing, I once had a NSC argument with someone who reckoned we shouldn’t be allowed to post below 6, that 6 in his opinion represented a respectful baseline for an Albion player at least working hard. What utter tosh ..... why do numbers 0 to 5 exist?

Oh I.m Not arguing. Just wondered on your way of scoring. I guess I would have given them 6s as they did nothing wrong or right. Or done a N/A either way it doesn't matter.

Maupay and Trossard 6?!

I must have been watching a different game.

Don't know what game you were watching, but in the one I was watching Maupay had an absolute shocker and Trossard wasn't much better. Hopefully Welbeck can smarten his act up. Unless of course you are thinking 6's are too generous, then we would be in agreement.

Maupay and Trossard were our weakest players today. I seriously wish Maupay would get his shots away earlier (before keepers and defenders have time to settle), he has to have too many touches at times and why he decided to check inside when in the box in the second half (and got tackled) when a clear shot was on astounded me. He can be very frustrating at times and has scored a lot more goals when he instinctively shoots. He’ll have far better games that’s for sure. Trossard never seems to be cut out for these derby games for some reason.
