He made three appearances for Wales during his career. Does anyone remember if he ever played against England?

He played three matches, two against Scotland and one against Malta.

I really don’t understand why this game is happening. I thought this is what the Nations League was meant to replace (pointless international friendlies).

Also very disheartened with Southgate’s continued unfair selections. Not picking on form. And utter favouritism with planks like Pickford, Maguire and Keane.

Just looking forward to the next Albion game really.

All I’m hoping for is that Dunk, Croft and LAMptey come through unscathed

I’ve fallen totally out of love with the English national team to be honest and I say that as a passionate Englishman, I, like everyone else was swept along with the WC2018 experience but since then I wised up and realised we lost to every good team we played, I think Southgate brainwashed us all with the almost underdog/trying our best mentality.

And since then, the squad selections and unbelievably dull football we play despite having a swathe of attacking talent has reduced my interest even more.

In normal times Wembley would be absolutely packed to the rafters for the big game this evening. Despite the fact there will be no audience there it is still a fact there is no love lost between our two proud nations and both will be desperate to put one over the other and put a much needed smile on their populations face.

Personally hope we smash the dragon eating *******'s.

Won't be watching. Not anti England at all but these are totally unnecessary games.

Watching Harry Kane score a penalty winner in a glorified international friendly is dull enough as it is with the annoying England home crowd but playing it in an empty stadium at this moment in time will be even worse.

It's not a glorified International Friendly, it's an actual International Friendly. :lolol:

Been invited to the pub to watch.

Although I'm sure the landlord could really do with some money from me, I wont be going.

The last Brighton match was a grim watch for several reasons not withstanding the over-the-top rules the pub had to employ that made it unpleasant. the 10pm kick out was the worst with last orders at 9.20.
It also meant the pub was much quieter than expected so no atmosphere.

So a nothing game, walking to the pub in the rain, spending money I don't have to. Its a no from me.

Plus although another point I am not liking top level football at the moment:

Premier League clubs have splashed around £1.24bn on 107 permanent signings during the summer transfer window

while lower leagues go under.

Its all wrong...........

Well your alternatives are Inside the Factory with Gregg 'The Veg' Wallace (will be taping this) on BBC or The Truth about your Sandwich on C4.

i used like to watch the England team play, even friendlies, but the fact that they are on ITV more often than not really ruins the match. Their commentators are simply awful, barley mentioning whats happening on the pitch, but are more concerned with ,well anything other than the match in progress. They talk about diet, hairdressing , how wonderful liverpool are, all the drivel that has no bearing on the match in question. At least Martin Tyler is no longer the main commentator, that may improve things. And don't get me started on that god damned awful "England Theme" that they have insisted on using for about 20 years! They have overused it so much that my ears start bleeding when I hear it

I will try to find a stream without ITV commentary, or Sky who are equally as bad. How I long for the days with the old BBC raft of commentators, who knew what they were talking about, knew the players names of both teams, made good informative comments on aspects of the game in progress, and didnt feel it necessary to mention about a million times how wonderful and innovative the dynamic young England managers squad selection is, and contribute to the wankfest over how wonderful bang average international players like Maguire are
