To be fair, when I see that a post consists of carlzeiss linking to an article in the Daily Mail...neither do I

Daily Mail links are when he's feeling tolerant.

Obv not 100% sure how accurate this is, but if so....well, its nice to see he's willing to contribute to the country he's trying to **** over, the bloated, orange ****.

I think we can be fairly certain that the article is pretty accurate. The NYT wouldn't print something like this without it being extremely well vetted by a lot of lawyers first.

Whether it will have any impact on the morons who have swallowed his "everything bad is fake news" trick is another matter.

It's not about changing the minds of the MAGA morons, it's those that are more in the middle. There was a poll which showed that amongst republicans, Trump has gained support but he has lost far more support amongst the middle ground which is why he is behind Biden.

My comment was written more with those on here in mind than the electorate.

I've just read all three articles in the NYT and it sounds like he is in big trouble, even if he wins in November. Bit of bother for Ivanka in there, too, quite possibly. It is a very detailed and well laid out report - and would be easy for Trump to prove false if it really were. But I'm sure he'll just rely on the gullibility of his base as usual.

I suspect much of it is too complicated for some voters to bother with, but the $750 figure will be the killer.

He has been "Under Audit". For years apparently. That means he will be negotiating a deal and will pay several million every year when he eventually settled on a figure with the IRS.

Then when he pays the amounts due. All he will need to do is a good PR job to leak the eventual agreed on liabilities. Then he will be call all these stories fake and people will swallow it.

The only time he will have an issue is if he is Prosecuted for false declarations. That wont happen because as he is Audited every year the records are always open and he probably pays by "Negotiation" every year. And that's not unusual for people with multiple busineses.

The only issue he could have is with overseas companies. In the US - All non US companies where he has a controlling share need to be reported individually and you have to pay tax on not only profits of overseas companies but also pay tax on all monies sitting in those companies.

So if there are a lot of Undeclared overseas companies. That could become a Criminal Issue. However no one probably has any clue as to what companies overseas he may have controlling shares in.

i'm wondering if the taxs will have much impact, they are nothing unexpected. though Trump may mistakenly do the double down and make ludicrous claims in his defense, as he is prone to do.
