Justin Herbert was a surprise starter and actually played very well - deserves to keep the job for another game or two.

Excellent in college, would have been a Heasman candidate but for an average final year.

Looked the part against Kansas.

Gutted about Barkley..... [emoji3525]

Back down to earth for the Washington Football Team. A performance that highlighted that only unit on the team is vaguely functional. The D Line is still decent but the cannot win games on their own. Not much support from the secondary and the offence is hamstrung by the worse O-line in the league. Haskins still very much a work in progress and that is being hampered by non-existent protection and only one decent receiving option.

That said I thought the Cardinals were excellent. Murray will now return to being fun to watch now he is not playing my team. Hopkins and Fitz are frightening and I think their defence is sneakily underrated. Crazy weekend of games this week, great to see Justin Herbert make a good debut! Go Ducks! Such a shame the Falcons choked against the Cowboys.

Shaping up to be a fun season. Bring on week 3!

I guess someone needs to point out the Packers scoring twice the amount of their divisional 'rivals'

I felt I saw a lot of dropped catches yesterday.

Maybe preseason friendlies are important after all...

...Who knew?

Oh dear - having already put Von Miller and AJ Bouye on IR, Broncos have now lost Sutton for the season, Lock for 3-5 weeks in addition to Lindsay being out for at least a couple more weeks. Add in another four of our lesser known player also with injuries it's going to be long season for the Mile High city.

With quite a few other injuries around, it will be interesting to see how many of these are attributed to the lack of a proper pre-season - both in physical readiness and in players being injured through broken plays due to lack of real practice.

Debut for the new Las Vegas Raiders Allegiant, or Death Star, Stadium. They beat the Saints 34-24, so not a bad start - but no fans.

Seems like the NFL is really cracking down on coaches not wearing masks with some pretty hefty fines

The comparison to the Death Star is so flippin' annoying. Both battle stations were pale grey, not black :wink:

Allegiant Stadium is quite obviously the biggest bog in Vegas....

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, the Broncos are due to sign Blake Bortles today as QB backup:rolleyes:

At this point I would normally make a comment about the sh!t played in there by the silver & black clowns. However, the way this season looks like panning out for the Broncos, I think that it is better to keep my head down.:(

Giants have picked up Davonta Freeman - if hes kept himself in shape it shouldn't take too long to get back into the swing of things. Over 1000yds last season and 6 TDs before becoming a FA. Surprised no-one else grabbed him sooner tbh as he can still do a decent job I reckon.

Yes (as a Giants fan) pleased with that. Is strange that no-one wanted him though.

Atlanta found a new way to lose to the Cowboys today. All they had to do was pick up the ball and they win the game. They didn't and lost on the last play of the game.

That was seriously bizarre. What were they thinking? It was like they were watching a punt, hoping the ball would settle as far down the pitch as possible. YOU CAN PICK IT UP GUYS, IT'S YOUR POSSESSION!!!!

Managed to avoid this thread and all other media enough to be able to watch the Seattle game 24hrs after the event, without knowing the result.

Great game, Russell Wilson imperious once more – and a cracking block on the final play. Cam Newton's always been a bit of pantomime villain for us – deep down you know he's an incredible player, but you still love to boo him – so that had a particular delight. Gutted to have lost Marquise Blair and Bruce Irwin to long-term injuries, but hey – it could be worse; we could be the 49ers!

As a Seahawk fan, it has been so refreshing watching us through the first couple games. Things could change throughout the season but it does seem like Carroll has changed the offense to a pass first team rather than the accustomed run first offense. This has unleashed Russell Wilson so far with 9 touchdowns completing 52/63 passes.

If he keeps this up I am confident he will finally receive his first MVP vote and most likely win the MVP award.

Although keep an eye on Josh Allen. He is my long shot to win the MVP and has looked great so far (admittedly it was only the Dolphins & Jets). Big test for him in week 3 against the Rams.

I'm not normally an NFL fan, a passing interest at best. However a lack of sport has me interested, but more than that, the combined personalities of Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell have me tuning in every week, are they not the best former player pundits in any sport ever? Also watched All or Nothing on the Arizona Cardinals which I thought was better than most of the 'soccer' ones I've seen.

Anyway, is there anywhere you can just watch a past game for free, I'm not really bothered which, might just play it while I work.

The Miami Magic Beards looked good last night....especially Fitz.
He had a point to prove against the young mustachio'd Minshew, and brought the Jags back down to earth with a bump.
