We've gone from too many midfielders to suddenly, an immediate short term paucity.

Mooy gone.
Stephens going.
Biss suspended.
Molumby possibly out on loan again.
Propper still coming back from an injury.

Anyone got Gary Gardner and Ryan Harley's phone numbers?

Feels like the right time. Good move for him, can't begrudge him that. He wanted out and the move back up North so it's no surprise but we kept him and he was a very important player for us in seasons past.

That being said, personally won't be missed but all the best Dale.

If Gardner comes back they'll have to close the A27 during home matches in case of stray footballs

Looking at our current squad thread, we have the following midfielders available (if we lose Stephens):

U21. Molumby
U21. Sanders
12. Pröpper
13. Alzate
14. Groß
15. Lallana
16. Mac Allister
17. March
18. Trossard
20. Jahanbakhsh

I agree with would probably need another, even if Izquierdo were go get fit.

With a heavy heart but he knows what’s what I guess.
Well done Dale.

Will break tomorrow no doubt

Move over Bladders and sheebo, we have a new ITK source who is producing unlike you two losers (yesterday’s men)

The Argus have just picked this up, so it is a genuine ITK post

I've always been the "Adam Lallana is better than Gary Gardner" type of guy your mama used to warn you about

I should've been slightly more narrow, and said defensive/central midfielders.

In terms of a more DM/CM role, only Molumby, Propper and Alzate would really be appropriate to start a Prem game from that list, no? And noises are Molumby might be heading out on loan, and Propper is still coming back from a niggle.

So that's 1 player available for a team who will usually play 2 CMs. I'd say that's a slight issue.

The Sunday Mirror had a report on Saturday night saying Burnely were "preparing a move" so 12 hours before this thread.
And The Athletic and the Argus confirmed that story this morning. But they haven't reported a bid etc.
He might well be "gone" for "750K" or "having a medical" but the usual press sources haven't confirmed anything yet.

Even if Molumby is heading out on loan again (I hope not) he doesn't have to go until Bissouma is available again.

Doogie is a moany keyboard warrior sadly. I’ve been stood behind him on the steps down from the WSU block H into the concourse after the final whistle and he’s straight on here with his negative comments [emoji849]

Maybe maybe not but at least I have spent my money following my club up and down the country probably unlike you . For the record thought we were amazing yesterday one off the best performances for a good few years .That any good ?
Stephens Gross and propper have got zero pace it’s no mistake that Hughton and the three amigos are not here or don’t start or play . Thank god Tony sees that and your not in charge

Coming from the Ajax academy it wouldn't surprise meat all if Veltman was able to step into a defensive midfield position.

If any of our defenders are gonna slot into midfield it would be White.

Makes you wonder if there is anything in the Ainsley Maitland-Niles rumours what with him being benched by Arsenal on Saturday and now Stephens looking like he's off?

Don’t just don’t! I am trying not to get excited about incomings. Thank you!
