It's horses for courses really. Lamptey falls short when trying to express the pain, chaos and anguish of civil war. Yet Guernica really struggles to beat a couple and put a ball into the danger area.

That may be so but some of us are old enough to remember that before Guernica there was the Armada and we all know how that went. Bloomin JCLs

Solid 7's on a regular basis, with the obvious potential to hit 8's and 9's.

In the premier league.

Not too bad for a local boy come up from non-league, and no wonder there is interest in him from other teams.

There is one glaring area we need to strengthen. And it isn't LWB.

Charming, it’s only an opinion  when he starts putting in some assists then I will praise the lad.

He was part of the move that built the space for our goal. He created some good moments and opportunities. If you don’t start a game open minded about players, you won’t ever see the good they do.

People moaning about Solly need to get a grip. What do people want him to do exactly?

Contribute something that will make something happen for us
Like he did when he came on as a sub at Birmingham in the 2-1 win in the championship
He’s was ok tonight but just looks on his heels most of the time

Take on opposition players, Get past them and put in decent crosses. Also, defend well.
He was much improved in all areas last night.
Very encouraging.

He normally frustrates the hell out of me but last night he played pretty well in defence and attack imo. Good for him, hope it gives him the confidence to carry on improving and being more clinical with final balls, whilst getting off the occasional long range shot. He has the talent, just lacks the belief so often

I've calmed down after that run he made where you could almost hear him saying "shit shit shit shit shit shit" until he lost it.

Behind Lamptey he was our best player. Some vital blocks/challenges, went past his man, intricate passing and great set piece deliveries. Struggled to get the ball into the box at times but really, I have to forgive him for that. This is a class team he was up against and he looked more than at home in that role.

Ths is what people don't consider. Chelsea will clearly be a top 4 team this season. The games we need to judge whether someone can deliver or not are the non free hit ones .... like Newcastle away

Well done to Solly for a good performance last night

Played very well.

If Connolly was a bit more alert then he would of had at least 1 assist.

That was a very very good wing back performance.

He never really lets us down and certainly had one of his better games......but still doesnt seem to have the confidence to take on his man and final ball/cross still poor. we definitely need a proper LWB.

This, although you’ve just upset the super fans.
I'd go with "irritated" rather than "upset" but mission accomplished all the same - very well done.

And for "super fans" I'd substitute "99% of all Albion fans who prefer to be positive about our own players rather than whine like spoilt children whenever we don't win".
