Celtic 1-0 down at home to Ferencvaros. Normally as a British club I'd be rooting for Neil Lennon's boys to come through and make the promised land of the CL group stages but I wouldn't be too dissapointed if they lost tonight as horrible as that sounds if it helps us get out man.

I’m not going to get excited about any signing until I see them holding our shirt.

I do get the impression the club are trying to land a striker and I’m happy to see that.

You’ll be disappointed with something that’s for sure. :D

We should not be going anywhere near a Celtic striker. I have followed a number of their recent matches including the one tonight where,so far, they have had 6 shots on target and 10 shots off target for 1 goal vs Ferencvaros' 3 shots on target and none off target for 2 goals. This is absolutely typical Celtic. They have 20+ shots per game and score 0, 1 or occasionally 2+ goals.

We shouldn’t be going anywhere near any striker in the SPL, especially for the big money he would cost. Joke league.

He was in the previous matches though, such as the 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock and the 1-0 win at Dundee Utd where they had 70% possession and over 20 shots in both matches. He had a pretty fair chunk of those shots. We don't want a striker with a 1 in 10 conversion rate. Murray would be scoring 40+ a season for Celtic.

totally agree, its always a gamble, but having watched a load Edoaurds vids for celtic, good free kicks, a lot of simple goals he'd never score against PL defences. 3/4 of SPL is league 1 level

This has Locadia 2 written all over it.

Nunez looks a lot better player imho. Lets see what happens.

I genuinely think we should go for both. Let's be honest, Murray isn't going to feature, so we have TWO strikers.

This has been easily the best option for me all along.
Although would be a huge signing given who’s interested allegedly.

Can’t believe (Yet again) people are writing off one player because of the league he plays in (there are hundreds of players in that league and all are different humans with different abilities) - the guy looks class and is a French international of sorts / Soon will be) 11 goals in 6 games for France u21s. 40 in 60 apps for Celtic - yes a shit league but still knows where the goal is - Best striker since Larsson for many of their fans etc etc

You’re ok with the Spanish 2nd division though which is not exactly known for it’s strength and quality?

Cracks me up the way people on here write off players based on You Tube vids and Wiki profiles.

Why do you think some of his goals look simple? Look at the intelligent runs he makes to get into position and space before the simple tap in, that will show you a lot more about the players ability.

Both look good, young, promsing and realistic financially. My preference is Edouard but happy with either.

Completely agree...

Look, you never know with any deal how it’s going to work out. I still think AJ is a good player, but our last manager wasn’t a good fit.

As for writing off Eduardo because of the SPL, well Van Dijk and Larrson ended up being pretty good.

Completely agree with this. That Van Dijk chap didn’t seem to do too badly when he made the switch from the Jocko league.
Sadly, can’t see us pulling this off.

Name me the last good striker to be signed from the SPL and score goals in this league, the only striker I can remember leaving the Scottish league and doing it at the top level in any league over the last 10 years is Dembélé.

Kris Boyd is the highest scorer in the SPL in the last 20 years with over 220 goals :lolol:

Are you just spouting b*llocks rather than actually looking at his stats?

In the 19/20 SPL season Edouard registered 100 shots, 45 of which were on target. Out of the 45, he got 21 goals.

Hardly a 1 in 10 now is he
